Lori Loughlin will not appear in Season 5 of the Netflix sitcom Fuller House. The reboot of the original Full House series has wrapped up production on its final season. Some members cast mates are missing one person who’s noticeably absent from the series finale. Lori Loughlin will not appear in the fifth and final season amid her ongoing college admissions scandal. That’s not to say that the Fuller House cast still doesn’t support her though.

John Stamos was one of the Fuller House castmates who took to social media to pay a tribute to his co-star, according to Radio.com. He also thanked the fans for their longtime devotion and support. Stamos shared a collage of his television family, some of which included Lori Loughlin, who plays Aunt Becky on the series. Loughlin is deeply involved with a messy college admission special to appear in the series.

Stamos called it an “end of an era.” He thanked both Netflix and fans to allow them to continue after five more seasons. While the cast would’ve loved to have continued the show, Stamos admitted that five seasons is great when it comes to streaming standards. The actor said that he’s “grateful to the cast and crew” for keeping the show alive. Stamos also pointed out the importance of family television in the current pop culture landscape.

“Decency is at an all-time low, and discord at an all-time high,” he wrote in the Instagram caption. Then Stamos concluded his caption by thanking the Fuller House fans. The fans were happy that Stamos included Loughlin, who played his on-screen wife since 1987. Loughlin’s legal troubles have been making headlines all year, which caused both Netflix and the Hallmark Channel to drop her from making appearances on Fuller House and When Calls the Heart.

Loughlin pleaded not guilty to paying a consultant to get her daughters, Bella Gianulli and Olivia Jade, into college. Her daughters were accepted as rowing crew recruits even though they never rowed before. In an interview with People, Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler) said that Loughlin’s presence was very much missing from the series finale. Barber believes that Loughlin “should’ve been there, and I’m sorry that she wasn’t.”
