iCarlyThe iCarly reboot is on its way, with the first official show giving fans a glimpse of “the new iCarly.”

The “New iCarly” Sees Familiar Faces Returning Alongside Some New Characters

Set to premiere on Paramount+ on June 17, the revival will feature original stars Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor, and Nathan Kress returning to their roles from the iconic Nickelodeon series.

In addition, the show will have newcomers Laci Mosley, who joins the cast as Harper, Carly’s new best friend and roommate as well as Jaidyn Triplett, who plays Freddie’s snarky and social media-savvy stepdaughter.

However, Jennette McCurdy, who starred as Carly’s best friend, Sam, in the original series is not expected to return for the revival, having shared earlier this year that she has quit acting.

The Story Picks Up Nearly 10 Years After The Original Nick Show And Sees Carly Shay’s Journey Through Work, Love And Family In Her Twenties

The show is set to pick up nearly 10 years after the original show ended and finds Carly Shay (Cosgrove) — the original influencer — and her friends navigating work, love, and family in their twenties.

The official trailer teased everything from Carly’s dreams of becoming “an effortless trailblazer,” to the return of fan-favorites like “Baby Spencer” and Nevel Papperman (Reed Alexander), and also previewed both Carly and Freddie (Kress) trying their luck in the dating world.

The Cast Spoke Of The Reboot Earlier This Year, Sharing Their Excitement About Getting Back Together For It

Speaking of the reboot earlier this year, Trainor said, “The three of us got back together and it was kind of like riding a bike. It was like, ‘We’re back!'”, with  Cosgrove adding, “It feels kind of crazy… Like, just getting everybody back together again and it was really fun.”

Kress also shared, “The cool part is what makes it different too is we have new characters that are coming. It’s a lot of familiar faces, but there are new people involved who are going to change up the story a ton and will make it very interesting and I think somewhat unexpected.”

iCarly premieres June 17 on Paramount+ with the first three episodes. Subsequent episodes will drop weekly.
