Kelly Ripa recently faced challenges in changing co-hosts. And while the All My Children alum and her husband Mark Consuelos have found their groove on their talk show Live With Kelly And Mark, a new report reveals that Kelly has taken a risk. But will her risky decision pay off?
Find out what Ripa changed in her talk show. And learn about the new promo for Live With Kelly And Mark. Get all the details below.
Kelly Ripa Creates New Talk Show Promo
Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa, both 52, have teamed up to create a new show opening for the 36th season of Live With Kelly.
And it features the talk show hosts beginning their day in their apartment. After changing clothes, the husband and wife team head to the Live studio in New York City.
And the new promo via People includes a look at the audience.
Visiting announcer Déjà Vu appears in the new promo as well. And the features include Ripa and Consuelos demonstrating their dance skills.
But beyond the new opening, sneak peeks include a visit from Derek Hough.
And Hough, who recently tied the knot with his wife Hayley Erbert in northern California, will discuss Dancing with the Stars.
Ahead of the new season, the music group SHINEDOWN will perform. And then on Tuesday, Live’s new season will begin.
Mark Consuelos Stars In New Trivia Game
But Ripa will take a risk in turning over a new trivia game to her hubby. Called “STUMP MARK,” it will feature Consuelos trying “his darnedest to keep the coveted Live mug away from trivia callers trying to stump him with their two statements,” revealed show producers. And those two statements will include one true and one false statement.
The talk show’s new season kicks off with stars including Jake Gyllenhaal, Melissa Etheridge, Josh Gad and American Idol winner Phillip Phillips. And for the first time, Mark and Kelly will begin the season as permanent hosts. Consuelos joined the show in February after former host Ryan Seacrest exited.
And after tying the knot in 1996, the co-hosts of Live with Kelly and Mark reflected on how it feels to work together on the talk show. For Kelly, it represents “a complete full circle moment.” And she added, “To have Mark join me at that desk every day, it’s a dream come true. We’ve been so uniquely blessed.”
Kelly And Mark Feel ‘Super Grateful’
And Consuelos called his emotions “indescribable.” But he also noted, “We’re super, super grateful.” And Mark reflected on how he served as a guest host so many times before producers chose him to team up with Kelly permanently. “I had filled in so many times and had a blast every single time.”
And Consuelos gushed, “Some people would die to have this opportunity. No one does it like she does. I can’t think of anybody that I feel more safe with, and protected by, than Kelly.”
