Landman, Taylor Sheridan’s New Series Premiere Date Announced

Fans of Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan are already looking forward to his latest new series, Landman, on Paramount+. Now, more detail has been released relating to the Yellowstone creator’s newest series. Meanwhile, the series is based on the Boomtown podcast and the premiere date has finally been released. Even better, before even airing, Landman has already been renewed for season 2.

According to TV Insider, Landman is “a modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in a world of oil rigs.”  They further describe the plot as “an upstairs/downstairs of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy, and our geopolitics.”

As with most Taylor Sheridan series, this new one features big names including Billy Bob Thornton as an oil company crisis manager, Tommy Norris. Meanwhile, Demi Moore plays the role of Cami Miller, a friend of Tommy’s. However, she is married to one of the Texas oil billionaires, Monty Miller who has a lot of power. That role is played by Jon Hamm.

Tommy’s ex-wife Angela is played by Ali Larter, while Michelle Randolph plays Tommy and Angela’s 17-year-old daughter, Ainsley, who is described as “wild and strong-willed.”  Meanwhile, Tommy’s son, Cooper, is played by Jacob Lofland and is new to working in the oil fields. Andy Garcia and Michael Peña guest star as Galino and Armando.

Fans of the Hallmark series, When Calls the Heart will be interested to know that Kayla Wallace is also part of the show’s cast as Rebecca Savage, who is described as “extremely capable and intimidating.” In the series, she is a liability attorney and her job in West Texas is to “clean up a mess.”

When does Landman premiere on Paramount+?

Paramount+ has announced that the first two episodes of Landman will premiere as a double feature on Sunday, November 17. From then on, a new episode will be available for streaming each Sunday, for a total of 10 episodes.

Of interest to note, Demi Moore spoke of the future of Landman while at Cannes. Moore is delighted to be working with Taylor Sheridan on the new series. She also revealed that season 2 will start filming early in 2025. This is good news indeed for fans of Sheridan’s work.
