Law & Order Spoilers: SVU Upgrades New Character to Regular Role: Who is It?

In the latest Law & Order: SVU update, it turns out the popular series has added its newest detective. Jamie Gray Hyder has been upgraded to series regular, according to TVLine. Hyder plays the role of Katriona “Kat” Azar Tamin. She first appeared on the longstanding NBC series in the Season 21 premiere.

Hyder’s character was seen going undercover as an actress as an attempt to accuse a movie mogul of rape. She later moved to the Special Victims Unit, where she works as a detective. It looks like this move was in the making. Hyder made the shocking news in a recent tweet to her fans.

In the tweet, Hyder announced that her character has been upgraded to a series regular. She even shared a collage of herself on set and behind the scenes. Hyder said that she couldn’t have chosen a better “boss.” She thanked Wolf Entertainment for helping her land a role on such a historic show.

Hyder seems extremely grateful for her job. She said that she’s never been happier to wake up and go to work every day with an exceptional group of people. You could say that Hyder lucked out. She’s on one of NBC’s most successful and longest running television shows. There’s no doubt that her career will flourish and grow on there.

SVU fans were excited to learn the news of Hyder’s upgraded role. Many of them took to Twitter to congratulate the actress. Most SVU fans exclaimed that she was the very first character in a long time that they fell in love with. They’re very excited to see her become a part of the squad.
