Mandy Moore And Chrissy Metz Enjoy ‘This Is Us’ Reunion Amid Actors Strike

Fans of the beloved TV show This Is Us might want to visit the SAG-AFTRA picket line. Because amid the celebrities there, This Is Us alums such as Mandy Moore held up posters to support their labor union. And it turned into an impressive reunion for the This Is Us cast.

Find out what Mandy and her co-stars shared. And learn more about the strike. Get all the details below.

Mandy Moore Reunites With Co-Stars On Picket Line

This Is Us alum Mandy Moore shared her pride in walking the picket line amid the Hollywood actors’ union SAG-AFTRA strike. “Day 1. Proud to stand with my fellow @sagaftra and @wgawest members demanding a fair contract,” the 39-year-old actress posted on Instagram.

Mandy Moore And Chrissy Metz Enjoy ‘This Is Us’ Reunion Amid Actors Strike

Because their labor union did not achieve an agreement with film and TV studios over several issues, the stars raised posters that read “SAG-AFTRA On Strike.” Reflecting on the situation, SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher called it a “very seminal hour for us.” And the 65-year-old actress called it “a very serious thing that impacts thousands, if not millions of people all across this country and around the world. Not only members of this union but people who work in other industries that service the people that work in this industry.”

But the This Is Us cast agreed with Fran’s belief that the actors have become “the victims here.” And the actors claim that a “very greedy entity” has “victimized” them. The strike terms forbid unionized actors from filming TV and movie projects or promoting their work. But the situation didn’t stop This Is Us stars Moore, Metz, and Huertas from enjoying a reunion.

This Is Us Cast Feel Like Family ‘For Life’

In the wake of picketing, the This Is Us cast shared their enthusiasm on social media. For instance, Huertas wrote, “Oh yeah! We out here!!!” in his Instagram Story. And Chrissy Metz shared that she views the cast as family “for life.” Huertas, Metz and Moore worked together for six season on This Is Us. Famed for its changing timelines, the show starred Moore and Milo Ventimiglia as the parents of the so-called Big Three.

And though fans longed for This Is Us to continue, Huertas felt it ended perfectly. The actor pointed out that the cast succeeded in wrapping up “the story the way that we wanted to.” But he also admitted to feeling “very sad that I’m not gonna be working with these actors on a daily basis and this crew. I’m gonna miss that, so that’s the sad part.”

But Chrissy Metz hopes for a reunion movie. And she admitted that she missed “seeing all my friends” after the show ended. “I’m always up for working with all of the whole cast again,” added Chrissy. “I mean, who knows how we would change as people. And that would, of course, change the acting and the writing. But I’m up for it.” And in the meantime, perhaps the This Is Us cast can plot to revive the show while they walk the picket line.
