Outlander Star Sam Heughan Hints Future Of Jamie And Claire

Outlander spoilers and updates tease that “cracks are really starting to show” in the relationship of Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe). This statement was given by Sam Heughan who plays the role of Jaime during the New York Comic-Con.

Fans are excited for the upcoming sixth season of Outlander. It’s been made known that the new season won’t be an easy one for the main characters. Based on the official teaser, people at Fraser’s Ridge will go through dark times. Even Sam, Heughan confirmed that Jamie and Clark will have a rocky relationship, and “cracks are really starting to show.”

At the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, Heughan said that Jamie and Claire spent a lot of time and effort building the Fraser’s Ridge community. He also warned fans that they will start to “really see that disintegrate” in the new season.

The actor hinted that even though Jamie saved Claire, the latter was still unable to get over the trauma. Jamie will check up on Claire and see how she’s doing.

“I think these cracks are really starting to show — not only for Jamie and Claire but for the rest of the inhabitants of Fraser’s Ridge. The war is coming,” Heughan said.

Like the viewers, the show’s cast and crew are excited about the new season. The virtual meet with fans during the New York Comic Con was attended by Heughan, Diana Gabaldon, the show’s author, executive producer Maril Davis, Caitriona Balfe who plays Claire Fraser, Lauren Lyle as Marsali Fraser, John Bell as Young Ian, and Cesar Domboy as Fergus Fraser.

Outlander’s author, Gabaldon described the show as “fabulous” while Domboy said it was “healing.” For Gabaldon, season 6 is her second favorite season after season 1. For Lyle, season 6 was “intimate” while Bell considers it as “cathartic.” Heughan said it’s “extended” while Balfe thinks of the new season as “unraveled.”

Outlander Spoilers – How Is Claire Fraser After The Assault

Fans may recall that Claire suffered a brutal assault at the hands of Lionel Brown (Ned Dennehy) and his men before Jamie got to save her. In season 6, viewers will witness how Claire deals with the trauma of the incident. As for Jamie, he’ll be on guard for the Brown family’s retaliation after Marsali caused Lionel’s death. There’s also the looming Revolutionary War. Claire and Jamie need to determine which side of the conflict they prefer to be on.
