Tracker Season 4 Shocker: Justin Hartley Says A Major Secret Is Finally Coming Out

Justin Hartley reveals why Tracker Season 4 needed to pull back on one dark storyline while promising a deeper look into Colter’s mysterious past.

Justin Hartley Reveals “Tracker” Seaaon 4 Will Unveil A Big Secret For This CharacterJustin Hartley’s “Tracker” was a fast favorite among audiences when it first premiered in 2024.

Now in its fourth season, the action-packed adventure series still hasn’t let up on the steam. But Hartley worries the show might be getting a little too dark for its audience.

Key Takeaways:

  • Justin Hartley pushed back on an overly dark storyline
  • Colter’s body count will be toned down
  • Season 4 digs deeper into Colter’s past
  • Family drama has left Colter in a better place
  • The action and intensity aren’t going away

Justin Hartley Called Out This “Ridiculous” Plotline In “Tracker”

In addition to being the lead character in “Tracker,” Justin Hartley is also an executive producer, which gives him a major right to call the shots on certain story plots.

This time around, the actor and television director called a shot on a plot point that would have been, on his opinion, too dark and unrealistic.

“We peeled it back a little,” Hartley said of a major plot point that fans will get to witness in the show’s fourth season – set to drop Oct. 4. “‘I was like, ‘Well, this guy can’t be killing six people per week. This is ridiculous.’”

However, just because Colter isn’t popping people off left and right, it does not signal that the series will suddenly become less intense. On the other hand, the opposite happens to be the case.

With Colter’s present adventures somewhat in the cooler, we will get to be exploring his mysterious past, and oh, according to reports, what stories were told.

Even though we’ve been shown bits and pieces of Colter’s backstory throughout the previous three seasons, this next season will serve to sort of bring the stories under one umbrella.

For Hartley at least, survivalist Colter is in a “better place” this coming season. “He’s a little looser. I think all that family drama getting — I don’t want to say ‘wrapped up’ because I don’t really think it was wrapped up — but a lot of it was unpacked, shall we say. And I think a lot of that burden is off of him,” he revealed.

I guess this is pleasing news for fans who have grown to love him through his many awesome adventures.

Okay, let’s play a little game of: which action show would you love to see return to the screen as soon as possible? I vote Eddie Redmayne’s “The Day of the Jackal.” What about you? Have your say in the comments.
