Reba McEntire recently said she would be interested in a Reba reboot. Since reboots are so popular these days, fans are wondering if the country superstar would be interested in bringing back her hit sitcom. The original series named Reba ran from 2001 to 2007 and starred Reba McEntire, who played a single mother of three. The coveted role landed McEntire a Golden Globe nomination.
McEntire talked to reporters at Entertainment Tonight at the 2019 CMA Awards about the possibility of a Reba reboot. McEntire said: “We would love that.” The singer said that everyone would have to be on board for it to happen. McEntire also revealed that her former castmates – Chris Rich, JoAnna Garcia, Melissa Peterman, and Steve Howey, would also be interested in bringing the show back.
Peterman is already down with the idea. Back in 2018, Reba posted a photo of herself with Melissa Peterman (Barbara Peterman) and Christopher Rich (Brock). Reba wrote in the caption, “Now all we need is the rest of the REBA cast!!” along with the hashtag #reboot. Peterman added, “I have their phone numbers…Let’s do this!!!” Reba’s post attracted over 22,000 likes and 500 comments, according to USA Today.
Back in 2018, it was also reported that Reba was shopping around a new television series called Red Blooded. It was passed over by several cable networks before it even aired. While Reba admitted that it was a big disappointment, she hasn’t given up on this idea yet. She often wondered to herself, “What do you have to do to get a good show on television?”

The singer decided to focus on something new. She was determined to make her big comeback to television after her short-lived comedy, Malibu Country and the successful six-year run of Reba. During her interview with The Washington Post, Reba said that a Reba reboot was not in the works. She revealed that the show would need fresh concepts that could make it work in this day and age.
Reba’s recent pitch for Red Blooded was her latest acting sting. But she’s been in front of the camera since her first role in the film Tremors. Reba received high praise for her acting chops and varied talents. And now, it looks like the singer is interested in a Reba revival series. What are your thoughts on a Reba reboot? Do you think the show could make a successful comeback? Share your thoughts below in the comments section.
