Survivor Season 44 Players Plan Catchphrase Games For Jeff Probst!

Survivor 44 spoilers tease the potential for the players to try to boost the fun level. And with apologies to the legendary Survivor maestro Jeff Probst, it seems these contestants want to get sneaky in the process. For instance, several Survivor 44 cast members want to find a way to use an unusual word on the show.

Find out what different Survivor 44 contestants shared about their plans for the upcoming season. And learn what else to expect when it premieres March 1 on CBS. Get all the details below.

Survivor 44 Spoilers – Word Wars!

Traditional Survivor players prepare for both physical and emotional challenges as they pursue the ultimate prize of a million dollars. But this season, the cast of Survivor 44 agreed to choose an odd phrase or word. And each player agreed to try to use that word as part of an episode, via EW.

Jeff Probst

Survivor contestants have enjoyed similar challenges before. For instance, Boston Rob persuaded his fellow players to name the merged tribe Murlonio. And he convinced them it was the Spanish word for the sea. However, it actually was the name of his wife’s collection of stuffed animals.

And this season, viewers can see if they can catch the cast working their own weird words into episodes. Some of the players shared their goals. For instance, Lauren Harpe hopes to make the term “onomatopoeia” part of an episode. And Claire Rafson has chosen “zoniks” for her memorable word this season.

Jeff Probst Could Become Powerless Over Survivor Word Games

Because of the Survivor host’s legendary skills in managing the cast, some wonder how Probst will react. And at least one player could get caught early in the game. “I’ve been joking about this with my friends that I want to have a catchphrase,” explained Claire. “What’s my catchphrase going to be?”

And thus far, Claire has considered several possibilites. “Am I going to walk around and be like, “Zoinks!”? Or, like, “That’s the way the cookie crumbles” all the time? Or “That’s showbiz, baby!”? So I don’t really have one, but honestly, if I could work in “That’s showbiz, baby!’ or “Zoinks!” a lot, honestly, that’s fine.”

However, if Claire drops too many “zoinks” or “that’s showbiz, baby” comments into her discussions with Jeff Probst at Tribal Council, it seems likely she will take a risk. But she does join other new Survivor players with similar ambitions. And that means Jeff might find it challenging to control them all.

Survivor Spoilers – Players Already Feel ‘Gobsmacked’!

For example, Frannie Marin feels “gobsmacked” needs a role on the show. “It’s so descriptive,” she pointed out. “I feel gobsmacked a lot of the time. And I think I’ll be really gobsmacked by some of the things that happen this season. So I would be pleased as punch if that word was worked into an episode somewhere.”

However, Sarah Wade chose a more calming word, “serendipity,” for her choice. And Maddy Pomilla invented the word “legiterally.” Admitting that she created it, Maddy explained her term combines “legit and literally — smack ’em together. Legiterally.”

But then Kane Fritzler keeps his eyes on the prize money. As a result, he chose the word “‘wing-wangs’ because it’s my favorite substitute word for money,” explained Kane. “And I feel like they talk about money a lot and it’s a goofy way to say money. So if anyone ever says, ‘Do you want to play for the million dollars?’ then I can just easily slide in wing-wangs instead and see if anyone raises eyebrows at that.”
