The Blacklist spoilers and updates reveal fans of the NBC crime thriller series have wondered when season 8 will come to an end, with the season been extended because of the global coronavirus epidemic. Well, they will wonder no more as an exact date has been officially announced by NBC. Since its first season premiered on the 23rd of September, 2013, it has captivated fans across the world.
A Deviation From Other Series As Season 8 Is To Have 22 Episodes
The effects of the coronavirus pandemic have made the producers of other popular TV series trim down the number of episodes in a season to between 16 to 18. The Blacklist producers have not followed the same route, as they are making the eighth season go as high as 22 episodes. This was confirmed by Amir Arison, who made a post on his Twitter about the increased number of episodes some months back. This means season 8 will not end in May, the usual time when producers of tv series plan for a season to end.
This Friday night’s episode is titled “Nicholas Obenrader”. As usual, we look forward to seeing Reddington in his usual composed, witty manner.
Final Episode Of Season 8 To Air On June 23
It has also been confirmed that apart from the increased number of episodes, The Blacklist will now be aired on Wednesday nights from June. This is to fill in the slot that will be left open when the One Chicago series comes to an end. The season finale has been slated to be aired on NBC on the 23rd of June, 2021.
It is to the delight of fans that this award-winning NBC series will thrill fans with lots of suspense and drama as they seek to get back to normal life after the devastating effects of the coronavirus pandemic. The producers have not toned down on making this eighth season as interesting as possible, with their rich storylines and pulsating intrigue giving Red Reddington, who is played by James Spader, and FBI Agent Elizabeth Keen more things to do to make America safe while dealing with their issues.

They have however opted against making the coronavirus plague part of their script lines, opting to thrill fans with stories centered around deep political schemes, bizarre intentions of unknown groups, and N-13. Remember that the eighth season will be aired on Friday nights up until June when it will be shifted to Wednesday nights.
In other news, season 9 of The Blacklist has been confirmed. This will definitely thrill fans of the series to no end, as it is one of the most followed series on NBC. The renewal for a ninth year was revealed by NBC in January this year after the show resumed from its month-old break. It is expected that it will premiere sometime in December this year regardless of the current coronavirus safety protocols, though no specific premiere date has been announced.
