The View Joy Behar Kiboshes Big News From Whoopi Goldberg

The ever-controversial ladies on The View interviewed Marco Perego and Zoë Saldaña this week on the show about their upcoming flick, The Absence of Eden.

During the segment, Joy Behar seemingly let the cat out of the bag when it came to a new and major film role for her co-host, Whoopi Goldberg.

While Perego and Saldaña were on The View to promote their new movie, which is about migrants in America, fellow co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin mentioned the buzz around a Star Trek fourth installment reboot.

Since Zoë participated in the last three of the franchise’s editions, Alyssa asked the actress what she could tell their viewers about the project. Saldaña turned to Goldberg and the two started a bit of a giggle-fest.

Whoopi said, “Maybe,” and Saldaña laughed and noted, “Just a little bit”, which prompted Behar to say, “Don’t tip your hand yet. Don’t tell them you got the job yet.” Goldberg’s mouth dropped, and she looked shocked.

Will “The View’s” Whoopi Goldberg Be In The Next Star Trek Project?

The conversation continued, with Alyssa asking if Zoë got the job, and the actress asking, “For Star Trek? Oh my God!” Whoopi then questioned what was happening and noted that she had no other work, and Joy replied, “Do you have it or not?”

Goldberg would then state, “I don’t know!”

It’s not clear as to whether or not Whoopi will be in the fourth installment of Star Trek; however, Saldaña did state a script had been written and an extra writer has been brought in.

Still, a huge error on Joy’s part for saying all she said on camera in front of The View’s live audience in the studio and at home. Will Whoop be a part of the next Star Trek project? Only time will tell!
