Say it isn’t so! There’s a new report that says the hit NBC dramedy This is Us is ending next season, leaving fans quite disappointed as they will no longer get to see Justin Hartley each week on the show. Here’s what you need to know.

As they say, all things must come to an end and that’s perhaps what The Young and the Restless alum Justin Hartley (ex-Adam Newman) must be thinking to himself right now. According to Hollywood Reports, This is Us will be coming to an end with its sixth season, which will air in late 2021. The show also stars Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, and Sterling K. Brown.

And while this is disappointing news for a lot of fans, creator Dan Fogelman made it pretty clear that he never set out This is Us to last 18 long seasons. He even said that the end of season three was the show’s “midpoint.”

He told The Hollywood Reporter, “We never set out to make a television series that was going to last 18 seasons, so we have a very direct plan. I have script pages I have written and I’m writing that really is deep, deep, deep into the future. We have a plan for what we’re going to do, and I know what the plan is.”

The Young And The Restless News – What’s Next For Justin Hartley?

Now, as far as what’s next for Justin Hartley, remains to be seen but it looks like he does have several projects in the pipeline. He has a movie coming out called Senior Year and is also working on an untitled Netflix project. Justin is also filming a movie called A Lot Of Nothing. While fans would love to see him return to The Young and the Restless, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon. Either way, we have a feeling that we will be seeing much more of Justin on the big screen. Watch this space.
