Chrissy Metz – Breaks Up With Bradley Collins

This Is Us star Chrissy Metz has decided to split from Bradley Collins. And Chrissy revealed that “after three and a half years together, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship amicably. But Metz added via People, “We continue to love each other very much.”

However, the This Is Us star shared that she and Collins agreed that ending their romance while holding onto their friendship represented “the best path for us both. We still have books to write, songs to sing, and a special friendship to keep us in each other’s lives forever.”

And that reference to writing books refers to their first children’s book as co-authors. Titled “When I Talk to God, I Talk About You,” the book included what Metz and her now-ex boyfriend discovered they shared in common. And Bradley explained, “When [we] were starting to get to know each other, I just realized we had a lot in common.”

Chrissy Metz – Shares Her Spiritual Beliefs

By writing the book, the This Is Us star hopes to introduce children to “prayer and remind everyone who reads it that you don’t have to pray just when something bad happens. You can pray when good things happen. It also talks about gratitude,” she said. “And being thankful is just as important as praying.”

Chrissy started dating Collins after they met on the dating app Bumble. But Metz admitted she “didn’t put a ton on my profile because I thought it sort of weeds out the people who want to maybe talk to me for any other reason than a genuine reason.” And then she saw Collins’ profile. 

“I do remember seeing a guy’s picture and he was an aspiring writer,” recalled the This Is Us star. “And he had a This Is Us coffee cup.” Because of that, she decided dating him seemed “too weird.” However, then Metz decided to talk to him after she failed to find any other possible candidates. 

And the two eventually found they shared more than This Is Us. “Who knew I had to go on the old Bumble,” commented Chrissy. “But I have no shame.” And before they split, Collins wrote about his love for her on social media. “From our first date in May, you’ve had me #Metzmerized with love, laughter and kindness,” he shared. “You’re not the best thing that’s happened during quarantine; you’re the best that’s ever happened to me. I love you. You the Best!” Collins added.
