TLC’s “90 Day Fiancé – Happily Ever After?” star Angela Deem recently made some decisions for her future, assuming she marries Michael Ilesanmi, regarding her will – but the will she makes leaves him out of it!
TLC 90 Day Fiance’ Spoilers – Angela Deem Needs To Make A Will
It turns out that Angela didn’t have a will, and it is more important than ever now before she marries Michael that she has one drawn up, especially considering that she could have cancer. She had previously seen a different lawyer who specializes in family law when she had asked her daughter Skyla to be her witness to the marriage, and she wouldn’t even consider it until Angela had a will.
As viewers will recall, Skyla turned her down anyway and a close friend of Angela’s agreed to travel to Nigeria and witness their marriage. That attorney, Stephanie Burgess, had told her that she needed to think with her head even though she loves with her heart, and if she were to die after she marries Michael with no will, he could get everything she has as her husband.
So now she goes to her immigration lawyer, Lew Tippett to talk to him about the will. She goes into his office with her granddaughter Ariah Kay since she doesn’t have a babysitter – and explains to the TLC crew that she’s the babysitter, she’s Meemaw! She says hello to Lew’s receptionist, Diane.
Then she explains that she trusts Lou to draw up the will the way she wants it since if she were to die, there is no way that Michael is going to get everything. She talks to the TLC crew about the possibility of cancer, and that it is very scary. She’s not ready to die, although she puts it she’s not ready to “go anywhere”. She greets Lou and shakes hands.
TLC 90 Day Fiance’ Spoilers – Angela Deem Talks To Her Immigration Lawyer, Lew
Angela sits down in Lew’s office with her granddaughter beside her and tells him what she was previously told, referring to Stephanie Burgess as a “marriage lawyer”. She reiterates what Stephanie told her, that if she and Michael were to get married without a will and she was to die, that he could get everything. Lou tells her that what he knows of her assets that would be correct.
She then tells him that she wants him to draw up a will so that her grandkids will get everything they are supposed to get, and Lou asks for verification from Angela whether she wants Michael totally cut out of the will. She is not sure – she says she really doesn’t want to totally leave him out, but she doesn’t want him to get everything, either.
Cut to a scene of Angela talking to the TLC crew – she says she’s no spring chicken, and she’s always told her grandchildren that she wanted them to get everything that Grandma has. But, she does concede that Michael, as her soon to be husband, should get something – some of her “stuff”. Lou tells her they should talk about Angela’s house first. They discuss Michael and her grandchildren getting the house fifty-fifty.

She starts laughing about the irony of discussing death when she’s getting ready to marry. Lou says it is important, however. They talk about Michael’s K-1 visa denial. To the TLC crew, she says that they don’t know why Michael’s K-1 visa was denied.
The case had moved to the US immigration authorities from Nigeria, but Lewis concerned about the reasons for the denial – if there were any legal problems, for instance, that could have caused the initial denial, even though Angela had updated him about the plans to marry in Nigeria so they could get a spousal visa. He warned her that if there was anything like that, neither visa would be an option – so the will was drawn up temporarily leaving Michael out until there was more information about his past.
