TLC ’90 Day Fiance – The Other Way’ Spoilers: Elicia Clegg Confirms Deavan And Jihoon Have Not Broken Up

TLC “90 Day Fiancé-The Other Way” star Deavan Clegg’s mother, Elicia Clegg says that contrary to popular assumptions, her daughter Deavan and Jihoon Lee actually have not broken up, and merely are separated due to COVID quarantine restrictions.

It is surprising that it would be Elicia who decided to squash rumors about her daughter and Jihoon Lee, whom she has openly criticized for his life decisions, have broken up. Viewers have seen in the past few episodes when she, Deavan, her daughter Drascilla, and baby Taeyang went to South Korea that she made it clear that Jihoon should be the sole provider for the family, and was upset when she saw the state of the original apartment that Deavan herself had found online and paid a month ahead that the little family was going to live in.

She felt that Jihoon, who was local, should have been the one to go apartment hunting, among other things. That way he could have found something better for his little family. In the most recent episode of “90 Day Fiancé-The Other Way”, Elicia was even it was her wish that Deavan and the kids would just come back home with her, and move on, so some fans have felt like they’ve had whiplash from such a seemingly sudden and total turnaround on Elicia’s part, regarding setting the record straight on whether the couple is still together or not, and clarifying their current state of separation!

The Show Is Filmed Several Months Ahead Of Airing On Television

Keep in mind that all of the “90 Day Fiancé” shows, other than the “Quarantined” version which was done via ZOOM, are filmed a good several months ahead of airing on television. All of the current season was filmed before the coronavirus crisis, and Elicia reveals that the coronavirus has a lot to do with why the couple appears to be separate on social media, with Jihoon showing still in South Korea on Instagram, and Deavan in the United States.

There was also a video on YouTube showing Elicia, Deavan, and the children taking a road trip in Utah under an account called “JunnyVanny” although that account has now been deleted and replaced with “FamilyVanny”. On May 25, Deavan herself said that the reason she and the children came back home, with Jihoon staying behind, was for a visit and that staying in the small apartment quarantined for three months was getting difficult for her mentally, and so they came home, and also for Deavan to take care of some personal matters back home.

The problem was, once they came home, the Covid-19 became worse in South Korea, where Jihoon stayed, because of what Deavan called “prior engagements” he had to take care of. It seems that since that was recorded she may have gone back to South Korea and then returned to Utah again with the children, as Instagram posts have verified they have been in Utah since mid-July, again without Jihoon. Elicia clarified that this time, it again has been Covid-19 travel restrictions, probably in South Korea, that have kept them from returning, and Jihoon from traveling to the US as well.
