Just because David Tennant is no longer on Doctor Who, doesn’t mean he doesn’t have an opinion on it. The former Doctor Who star isn’t happy with the new series for one very good reason. He doesn’t like that the show no longer has Christmas specials, which famously aired from 2005 to 2017. Tennant starred on the long-running BBC series from 2005 in 2010 as The Tenth Doctor. Doctor Who focused on the Time Lord as he moved through time and space during the TARDIS.

The first version of the doctor was portrayed by William Hartnell until 1966. It was then revealed that the Time Lord could regenerate himself during near-death situations. While the character retained the same memories and skills, the different plots allowed for different actors to play the role of the Doctor. Since its inception, thirteen actors have played the time-traveling hero. Tennant’s role is one of the most popular roles. His character was relatable and perfectly portrayed the iconic persona that’s associated with the character.
