The Walking Dead Spoilers – What Was Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s eaction?
He said he was relieved when he saw the script, saying that the old Negan is still inside the Dead City’s Negan. He described his character as someone that fans love to hate. He also said that as much as we want to redeem Negan from what he was, Negan is Negan, which probably pertains to his villainous ways.
He also said that he is beyond grateful for having the chance to reprise his role. He revealed that he likes the fact that he’s able to play around with his role.
Negan was known for his barb-wired baseball bat. It was the one he killed Glenn (played by Steven Yeun) with. Glenn was a beloved character at the time, and this is where Negan really rose up as a great villain in the original series.
Now, he is trying to prove to Maggie (Lauren Cohan) that he has already changed. Coincidentally, Maggie was also Glenn’s girlfriend. So, we have a very dark history between the two.
According to Jeffrey Dean, he thinks that his character really changed even though he thinks that the old Negan is somewhere there. He doesn’t want Maggie to see that side of him ever again, as she has obviously seen it all.
The spin-off series was announced last year. And the first season premiered last June 15. There were a lot of great reviews for the first few episodes. The spin-off follows Maggie when she finds Negan, and they travel together to New York.
The spin-off is still under the same network – AMC Network. But it is also available for streaming on Prime Video, AMC+, Shudder, and more.
