5 Reasons ‘The Young and The Restless’ Abby Newman Will Never Find Love – Her Father’s Daughter

CBS The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates reveal Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is certainly a hot catch but it seems like time and time again her relationships sizzle before the real sparks begin to fly between her and all of the men she’s had in the past. While everyone is always looking for someone to love in Genoa City, it seems like Abby is always looking in the wrong places. Here are five reasons why she might never find love.

#1 Abby Newman’s Radar Is Completely Off

Abby Newman is everything and more than a man looks for when it comes to picking the perfect girlfriend. She’s smart, she’s funny, she’s beautiful and she’s also intelligent and quick-witted. And yes, she’s a lot like her mother, Ashley Abbott. But when it comes to picking the right man, it seems like her radar is always off. As hot and exciting as her new romance with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) is right now, we have a feeling that something will end up going bust sooner or later.

#2 Abby Newman Picks The Most Untrustworthy Men

While Abby’s heart is often in the right place, it seems as though she sometimes does pick out men from the bottom of the barrel. Her messy relationship and engagement with Arturo Rosales is a prime example. She invested so much in a man that gave so little in return and worse, ended up sleeping with his brother’s wife and got her pregnant, too. Talk about a real slap in the face. It’s no wonder Abby took a hammer to his car and destroyed whatever was left of their relationship.

#3 Abby Newman Might Need Someone Strong Like Her Father Victor

Let’s face it: Abby Newman is a full package. Regardless if you love her or not, there’s no denying that she is her father’s daughter and that really might be her biggest problem. She is so much like her father Victor Newman, that it will be hard for her to ever find her equal. She needs someone who is strong but also sensitive, someone loyal but also willing to take risks and most importantly, someone who can keep up with her. In other words, she needs someone just like her father Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) but unfortunately, she might never find a man just like him.

#4 Abby Newman’s Too Focused On Her Career

Abby Newman is one person that wants to prove in Genoa City that she can make a name for herself without using her very famous last name. But what helps her in life, ultimately hurts her too. That’s one of the reasons why Abby Newman is so focused on her career and proving to everyone that she can be successful without her father Victor’s help. And while she’s managed that to a certain extent with The Grand Phoenix, sometimes she neglects to pay attention to other aspects like her love life.

#5 Abby Newman Is Better Off Leaving Genoa City To Find Love

While many The Young and the Restless fans might be split on this idea, there’s a good chance that Abby Newman would be better off finding love if she just simply packed her bags and left Genoa City for good. Abby has been romantically linked to so many men in town, that by now you’d think she would find at least someone who can tame her wild ways and capture her heart at the same time.

But that hasn’t happened. After having brief relationships with everyone from The Young and The Restless GCPD officer Alex Chavez to Tyler Michaelson and most recently Arturo Rosales and Chance Chancellor, it looks like Abby’s best bet is to leave all of the chaos and confusion for a better shot at love somewhere else.
