CBS The Young and The Restless updates and spoilers reveal while it always seems as though they have one foot in and one foot out the door, The Young and the Restless fans would love to see more of The Rosales family in Genoa City. Here are just five reasons why.
A Family Just As Dramatic As The Newmans and Abbotts
While the Rosales family might not have the kind of position, power, or even bank accounts that the Newman and Abbott family have, there’s no denying that they certainly do deliver plenty of drama. As a matter of fact, ever since the Rosales siblings made their debut in Genoa City, they’ve managed to make up, break up, and shack their way up the Abbott and Newman clans.
From Arturo Rosales’ (Jason Canela) disastrous engagement to Abby Newman, (Melissa Ordway) Lola Rosales’ (Sasha Calle) disappointing marriage to Kyle Abbott, (Michael Mealor) and of course, Rey’s hot, heavy, but also confusing romance to Sharon, things haven’t been boring, to say the least.
Lola Rosales’ Headed Towards Dangerous Territory

Perhaps the one person who has been the center of all of the drama has been Lola Rosales. Even though she truly did put her heart into her relationship and marriage with Kyle Abbott, she ended up getting totally heartbroken when he decided to lock lips with Summer Newman behind Lola’s back.
If that weren’t enough, Lola seems to be headed towards dangerous ground in her new relationship with Theo Vanderway. (Tyler Johnson) If she couldn’t trust Kyle to be a loyal and loving partner, does she really think that she can trust Theo? There’s a good chance Lola will end up learning her lesson the hard way.
Possible Hook Up Between Rey Rosales And Victoria Newman
Speaking of hot and heavy romances, Rey has been getting very busy with Sharon Newman. (Sharon Case) Unfortunately for Rey though, Sharon isn’t very into him. While the passion is certainly there between the sheets, each time Rey tries to get close to Sharon on an emotional level, she pushes him away.
For Rey, there’s only so many times that a handsome man like him can get rejected before getting the hint, right? Lucky for him, there are plenty of other beautiful, single women in Genoa City, including Victoria Newman. (Amelia Heinle) Now that would be a pairing that would get everyone talking!

The Mystery Behind Rey’s Ex-Wife And Her Pregnancy
If all of the above weren’t enough, there’s also the fact that the mystery behind Rey’s ex-wife Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) and her pregnancy has never been resolved. Sure, a DNA test might have proven that the baby actually belongs to Rey’s brother Arturo and not him, but seeing how they are so closely related as brothers, the test results could still be contested.
Plus, it seemed way too convenient for Mia and Arturo to leave Genoa City the way they did. You can’t just sleep with your brother’s wife, get her pregnant, and think that everything is going to still be okay, right? Rey needs to get to the bottom of things and find out the truth!
A Possible Affair Between Celeste And Jack?
When Rey, Arturo, and Lola’s mother Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue) first came to Genoa City to see what was going on between her daughter and the untrustworthy Kyle Abbott (the Rosales brothers were certainly right on that one), there was no denying the sparks between her and Jack Abbott. In fact, many The Young and the Restless fans even expressed their hope in seeing the two of them get together.
With Celeste being the beautiful, feisty Latina that she is, she would definitely give Jack the much-needed flavor that he needs in his life right now. Plus, seeing their parents together would give Lola and Kyle a good shock to the system. As turbulent as their relationship was, we have a feeling that Celeste and Jack’s would be quite the opposite. It would be the kind of love affair that generations of Y&R fans would be talking about for years.

I loved the Rosales family.
No!!! Celeste is the only one of them I liked. I do like Lola but the men in that family look like thugs and always will. I had hoped that Celeste and Jack would get together also but who knows after this comes back, what the writers will give us.
I’ve always thought that Jack and Celeste would’ve been a great couple and opportunity to get Jack a partner who’s age appropriate and beautiful. TPTB, make this romance happen quick!! Jack is becoming too stuffy!!
NO! The Rosales Family came practically at the cost of both the Abbott Family and the Winters Family! The mom & dad were worthless & not interesting. Arturo can’t act his way out of a paper bag & sounds more like a gang banger street thug – it was like putting an uneducated ditch digger with Paris Hilton when they tried to pair him with Abby! Absurd! Mia was loud, brassy, vulgar & over-acted, like she was on a Tele-Novella! Lola is unlikely. She goes from running a roach coach to being an executive chef at a 5-star dining establishment w/no training?! Really?! Hob-nobbing with the glitzy crowd? It’s a soap, I know, but come on! She used Summer liver to survive, & then steals Summer’s husband, flaunting their relationship in front of Summer, in a tacky classless display of utter gall! I’m THRILLED that Kyle dumped her & realized his true love was always Summer! Rey is smarmy, but I actually do like him with Sharon. So ONE member of the Rosales family is fine, all the rest need to stay away! Make the Abbott’s, Newman’s & Winter’s families stronger, & I’d LOVE a return of the Brooks and Fosters! Bring Dr. Snapper back, bring lawyer Greg back, bring the Brooks sisters back! Keep the Rosales family GONE! Don’t turn Y&R into a telenovella!
Ray is enough. I hated his wife, I can’t even remember her name, so I was ecstatic when she left with Arturo. Lola could actually move to Miami and I wouldn’t care.
Most definitely! I think jack and Mrs. Rosales would make an awesome couple and a great role model for Kyle and Lola should they choose to rekindle their marriage. I love the character playing Mrs. Rosales; she’s a beautiful woman an a great actress. Bring it on and make it happen!
Yes, I do like Celeste, Lola, and the brother that’s in law enforcement, he’s a really great guy. However, his wife is no loner with him therefore, there would be no need for her to return. But the others would be welcome I’m almost certain.

Rey has no capacity to show emotion, Arturo is a slug – shame on the writers for having Nicki jumping into bed with Arturo! she could catch something, just acting.
Lola went from boring perpetual virgin to puta in the yawning pace of her deflowering. and her transformation from fry cook in a lunch wagon to executive chef who never seemed to cook anything was the sign of desperate writers bereft of ideas. Same on the lot of them.
Rey’s wife was just plain annoying, and Moma rosa was unwatchable. Jack can do better – maybe by finding a hooker.
I say put them on the Miami Express – ride them out of town, have a going away party for them after they have gone.

Rey is the hottest man in GC!! Hope that he and Sharon make it thru the Cancer storyline, and get married!! He is a keeper for sure!!
