According to Soap Opera News who has since removed the post, a source has confirmed that Tyler Johnson along with Sasha Calle who plays Lola Rosales is no longer on contract. In fact, their report reveals that both stars were released from their contracts and it was not renewed. This seems to be something that happened before the break in production as a result of the coronavirus (COVID019). If this is really the case, then it means we could see both actors exit the show before the cast return to the set for filming new material.
How would Theo exit may be your first question. As many would like to know, would the character be killed off or would he be written off in such a way that it is left open for a return in the future? Given that Theo Vanderway and Lola Rosales were planning some business in New York it’s quite possible that two could get more serious in their relationship and relocate there, at least for now.

Theo first came to town being played by Nic Luken. Johnson later took over the role as Theo was given some ties to the canvas. Theo was introduced as a friend of Kyle’s (Michael Mealor). Kyle had no idea that his “friend” would later turn out to be a close relative. He was later revealed to be the son of Eric Vanderway who is the son of Stuart Brooks giving him a tie to the Abbott clan.

During his childhood, his family didn’t have much money as the lived from paycheck to paycheck. When he was 15 years old, his father died. He currently works as a social media influencer as Jabot. He was also romantically involved with Hunter King’s Summer Newman. Their relationship ended as Summer was still in love with Kyle and likewise Kyle with her.
Johnson may be gone from the show but we’re sure he will be popping up here and there. He has recently worked on Lifetime movies which we’re hoping he continues to do while not on The Young and the Restless. We also look forward to him doing some primetime work and finding success there until he returns to the CBS daytime soap opera.
UPDATE: At this point, this news is not confirmed. CBS is not saying either way but as you can see from the actor’s Instagram accounts they have changed their status. We will post more news as we get it!
