Many fans of CBS The Bold and the Beautiful also watch The Young and the Restless, and vice versa. Viewers of both programs tend to love crossover episodes. If you are one of them, then you are in luck! It is teased that in the near future, we could see more B&B and Y&R crossovers.
The Bold and the Beautiful Welcomes Y&R Faves
According to our CBS insider, there might be some more crossover episodes coming up in the future. For those that don’t know or are relatively new to soaps, a crossover is when actors from one soap make an appearance on another. B&B and Y&R are sister soaps, so longtime viewers have seen crossovers from both directions in the past.
Interestingly enough, we are currently seeing a crossover theme week on The Bold and the Beautiful. Tracy Bregman (Lauren Fenmore), Eric Braeden (Victor Newman), the late Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor), Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), and Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott) are all crossovers that are being featured this week.
The Young and the Restless Featured These B&B Stars
John McCook (Eric Forrester) appeared on Y&R in 2005. Adrienne Frantz (Amber Moore) has stirred up trouble in both soaps. Jacob Young (Rick Forrester) and Linsey Godfrey (Caroline Forrester) both stepped away from the B&B set and popped on over to The Young and the Restless. Also, the character of Sheila Carter, played by Kimberlin Brown, has also been in both of the sister soaps.
Crossover Lovers: The Pros
Those that watch both The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless tend to enjoy crossover episodes. It’s a nice change and makes for some interesting dynamics in scenes. On Twitter, the majority of the comments were in favor of more crossovers.

Solo-Soap Fans Feel Lost During Crossovers
However, not everyone watches both of the sister shows. Those that I call “solo-soap fans” only watch one of them. So, crossover episodes can be confusing and make one feel lost. If it’s just a quick appearance, it’s no big deal. However, if they become part of a major storyline and their presence is a big part of the plot, then that’s where viewers tend to feel lost.
What do you think of more crossover episodes between Los Angeles and Genoa City? Do you enjoy them or would you prefer the characters to stick to the soap they are in?
