Viewers know that Phick has a hot and heavy history which includes plenty of video gaming as well as sexy bedroom games—Summer Newman (Hunter King) is proof of that!
So it should come as no surprise that these two are back in each other’s orbit at this time in history. Both are single (although that never stopped them before) and presumably wiser with age.
One thing is certain, they still have sizzling hot chemistry and have taken a few opportunities to prove it to themselves, not always in the privacy of their own room.

Y&R Spoilers – Summer Newman Is Not A Fan Of Phick
So, what’s not to like? For one thing, Summer has made it clear that she does not think her mom and dad getting back together at this stage in the game is a good thing.
She has seen them go through at least 42 iterations of love in the afternoon and having been there and done that she thinks she knows how it will end—badly.
At this point, Nick is ready to commit, but Phyllis isn’t acting like her usual impetuous self.

Savvy viewers might question Red’s actions—is she playing hard to get? That’s unlikely—modesty isn’t in her repertoire. It’s more likely that she’s matured over the years and simply doesn’t want to repeat the mistakes of the past.
And, Summer’s vehement opposition to their reunion seems to have lodged in Red’s brain. She has hurt Summer plenty over the years, and although she isn’t always the best mom, she is a loving one. The last thing she would want to do at this point is tank their relationship after having barely recovered from their last rift.
