Daytime Soap Vet Melinda O. Fee Dead At 70

The Young and the Restless alum Melinda O. Fee passed away recently. The soap veteran also appeared on Days of Our Lives and Santa Barbara. She was 70 years old when she left this Earth. Keep reading to find out more about the soap actress.

Melinda O. Fee’s Death

 Melinda O. Fee passed away on March 24, 2020. She was 70 years old and her death was reportedly due to a massive stroke. She was in the hospital at the time of her death, Gilleigh McLain wrote on Fee’s Facebook page. It was stated that the actress has specific requests in the case of her passing.

“It is with great sadness I tell you, her Facebook friends, that on March 24th [2020], Melinda passed away. She had a massive stroke and passed away in the hospital. She had requested no funeral nor memorial, so don’t grieve you missed it. May God hold Melinda, forever, in the hollow of his hand.”

In 1973, Fee was cast as “Jill Foster Abbott #4.” It was just one appearance, but she appeared in other soaps as well.

Days of Our Lives and Santa Barbara

On DOOL, Fee snagged the role of Mary Anderson Marshall, who was one of the Salem Strangler’s victims. She appeared in several episodes from 1981 to 1982. From 1987 to 1988, she portrayed Olivia in Santa Barbara. She also won a role on Guiding Light as Charlotte Waring Bauer from 1971-1973 and played Cathy Baker on Dallas in 1979.

Melinda Fee’s Other Acting Projects

According to IMDB, Fee’s other roles included I Dream Of Jeannie, Lost In Space, The Invisible Man, Quincy M.E., The Bionic Woman, and CHiPS. She also appeared in Eight Is Enough, Casablanca, Knight Rider, A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge, MacGyver, Cagney & Lacey, Matlock, and Beverly Hills 90210.
