Sad Young and The Restless Spoilers: Sharon Begs Nick To Take Care Of Mariah, Noah And Faith If She Doesn’t Make It

The Young and The Restless spoilers tease that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will seek help from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to take care of their children, starting with the oldest, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), Noah Newman, (Robert Adamson) and Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) if she doesn’t make it, nervous about her pre-surgery appointment in an upcoming episode of The Young and The Restless!

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Team Sharon Is At Home Waiting To Hear How Sharon Newman’s Pre-Surgery Appointment Went

Team Sharon, meaning Nick, Mariah, Faith and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) are waiting at Sharon’s home for Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon to come home from her pre-surgery appointment went. They know that Sharon has some guidelines to follow and pre-surgery instructions prior to surgery, and she doesn’t want a pity party. They decide to plan a proper party and start dancing, and play games.

They’ll plan a much bigger one if Sharon has great news and the cancer is all gone after her lumpectomy! They put on some music, they all start dancing, and soon everyone cracks up as they play “Who Am I”, an impersonation game, and Faith impersonates Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)! Rey answers the door when there is a knock, and it’s someone delivering a gift basket for Sharon. He notes it’s from Phyllis Newman, (Michelle Stafford) and Sharon jokes about it, asking if it’s ticking! It turns out to be a spa basket, and everyone gushes over the items.

Phyllis and Sharon haven’t had the best history with each other, after all, as longtime Young and Restless viewers will recall, Nick was married to Sharon when he and Phyllis had their first affair! But even with the bad history between Phyllis and Sharon, she has to admit that was very sweet of Phyllis, sending a gift meant to make a woman feel beautiful and pampered when Sharon isn’t sure what she’ll look like after all this is over, or even if she’ll ever return home – the scans didn’t pick up anything else suspicious, but Sharon is still fearful and a bit paranoid even though she’s only scheduled for a lumpectomy. Then they all huddle together for a family photo.

Y&R Spoilers – Things Take On A Serious Tone Later

Later, things take on more of a serious tone as she takes out a healthcare proxy form that has to be signed by her proxy before she can have the procedure. She decides to ask Mariah, her oldest child to sign it and take on the role of speaking for her and making her healthcare decisions if for some reason she would not be able to do so for herself; Mariah balks at first but finally agrees – it was just the picture that flashed through her mind of her mother not being able to speak for herself and make her own decisions that left her taken aback.

They express their love for one another and she signs the papers, Sharon herself already having signed the form. Then she decides she needs to do one more thing; she needs to tell Nick to watch out for their children if she is not able to, including Noah, even though Noah is a grown man, and out on his own as a successful artist in Great Britain and of course, Mariah.

Sharon calls him aside into a private corner and wants Nick to promise that he’ll watch out for the older ones and take care of Faith if something untoward would happen tomorrow when her surgery is scheduled. Nick too is taken a bit aback but Sharon reminds him people have died under anesthesia before, and she had to sign a form that informed her of the risks, even though she was assured it was a formality! Still, that part was a little scary too! Nick assures her that he will watch out for the older ones and Faith, and after everyone leaves, Rey assures her everything will be fine.
