The Young and the Restless (Y&R) fans claim that the Chancellor estate has been cheapened and reduced to a wedding chapel. They were already upset when Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) gave his family home to Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
It’s controversial considering Abby’s history with Chance. She cheated on him and slept with Devon. Recently, fans noticed that the writers wiped away the Chancellors from Genoa City. Keep on reading to learn more.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chancellor Estate Cheapened Into Wedding Chapel?
The Young and the Restless fans are fired up. Abby and Devon have moved into the Chancellor’s estate. They plan to get married there along with their parents Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).
Some Y&R fans joked they were going to turn it into the local Chuck E. Cheese. One brought it up in the Soap Central forums.
“The Chancellor Estate is where two adults lived, and a great rivalry started that spanned many decades. Small children didn’t stay long, they only returned when they were SORASED and ready for drama,” one fan noted.
There’s so much history with the estate that it should be respected. It has since turned into a home for Abby and Devon, whom fans feel won’t last. This could taint the Chancellor’s estate even more. It’s bad enough that the show is continuing to erase the legacy of the family.
Y&R Spoilers – Fans Upset With Devon Hamilton & Abby Newman
The Young and the Restless fans shared their thoughts in the forums. One joked, “Dom will be playing the drums wake up Abby and the neighbors.” Another added, “It doesn’t seem the same and looks smaller! I did a double-take. [The stairway] is still there. Remember Mrs. C on them.”
Since Phillip Chancellor (Thom Bierdz) and Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) are deceased, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) owned the home. However, she doesn’t want to live there anymore. Chance doesn’t want the house either, which seems out of character for him.
So, Abby and Devon ended up with the home because of it. Y&R fans argued that it’s brought some happiness and lightness to the estate. So, it’s good to see a family enjoying it even if it’s the wrong one.
