Neil (Kristoff St. John) greets Ashley (Eileen Davidson) as she comes down the stairs in the morning; both very happy but Neil wants to know what happens now?

Jack And Nick Talk Business

Jack shows Nick the growing list of investors they are getting, admitting he loves his job because he likes sticking it to Billy and its proving that Jabot no longer defines him. Nick points out if that’s the case, why is he still after Jabot?

They both know what Billy has been up to at Jabot, but Nick stands firm, saying he doesn’t want to make business decisions based on personal grudges.  Jack admires him for that, but advises him not to pass up an opportunity just to make a point.

Neil finally admits he had an ulterior motive when he invited her over to listen to jazz. They talk about their family dynamics, as Ashley says everything disappeared and she got lost in the music. Neil wants to know if that was all this was about.

Nate (Brooks Donnell) inadvertently interrupts them and Ashley makes a quick escape. Neil reveals to Nate, he isn’t sure what is happening between him and Ashley.

Billy finds Cane (Daniel Goddard) at the coffee house. Billy is shocked Lily (Christel Khalil) could be facing 20 years in prison. Cane admits he screwed up, thinking Billy was going to blame him for lying; but Billy surprises him, revealing he knows exactly why Cane did what he did.

They talk straight as Cane appreciates Billy’s words.  Mariah sits alone at a table, worried that Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) hasn’t responded to her nor told Mariah if she is safe.Neil corrects Nate, saying he cares too much about Ashley to be friends-with-benefits. He doesn’t know what is going on since a few weeks prior him and Ashley agreed that their friendship was too important to cross that line.

Devon Holds A Grudge

Nate points out that it’s too late for that and he is allowed to have a personal life outside of being the rock for their family. Nate advises Neil to tell Ashley if he likes her more than a friend.Neil finds Lily sitting outside HWG, wishing she could change everything. She wants to know how she can make things better; Neil tells her to keep trying and they walk in together to the office.

Devon (Bryton James) says he wants to be left alone to work, but when she tries to talk to him, he grabs his laptop and will work from home. Neil gets both sides of the situation, but reminds them that when Devon lost his hearing Lily was the one by his side and the same when Lily had cancer, he was her strength and champion.

Neil insists their love didn’t just disappear but Devon says it left when Lily killed his wife, Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and his child. Neil feels like a failure and wants to know how he is going to save his family. Lily feels all Devon’s rage directed at her, but Neil reminds her that he shut her out too.

Nick Suspicious Of Summer

Nick catches Summer looking for Billy on the rooftop; she is offended he doesn’t trust her but he points out she doesn’t do things so honorably. Nick doesn’t find it funny that he had to buy her silence but she bites back feeling she didn’t think her father would put a price on honesty. He wants to know why she is so interested in her mother’s boyfriend.

Summer says its gross for Nick to think there is anything more going on with her and Billy since he is Nick’s age. She tells him that Billy has been good to her and that is why she is so pissed off at what Phyllis did.

Ashley meets with Billy, saying she will support Billy’s new venture JaBoutique. Billy is sure the business trip is her way of getting him out of town but she promises him if she were to go behind his back; she’d be much more subtle.

Mariah Comforts Devon

At home, Devon holds a photo of him and Hilary until Mariah arrives at his door. He invites her in as she admits she is there to check on him. He doesn’t know how he is doing, as nothing feels real. He talks openly how he doesn’t know how to survive without Hilary. He has packed up some of her clothes to give to a charity.

Mariah offers to help Devon and he feels Hilary would have really liked that.Lily is worried about Neil carrying so much of this on his own, thanking him for trying with Devon. He hugs her, reminding her that Devon didn’t really mean what he said.

Neil texts Ashley, who brushes him off, saying she has a busy day at work. Neil is clearly disappointed.  Nick confronts Billy at the GCAC, suggesting they forgive what happened between them and move on. Billy doesn’t buy it but they agree to a truce for Phyllis and Summer’s sake. Billy sarcastically asks if they should hug it out.

Nick Drops A Bomb On Billy

Nick informs him that he didn’t want to get off on the wrong foot with his new tenant. Billy is shocked to learn Nick bought the leasing company and suggests Billy say “hello!” to his new landlord. Nick meets Jack at the doors, saying the purchase of the leasing company is a sound business decision, refusing to admit that there are fringe benefits to it. Billy overhears them talking.

Lily and Cane are enjoying alone time, when Nate walks up and tells Lily not to worry about Neil having no one to help him through this. Nate is worried about Devon not letting anyone help take the pressure off him.

Mariah and Devon continue to talk about Hilary’s style and overload of clothing. They joke about how Hilary used to tease Mariah; but she is grateful about how much Hilary taught her. She feels Hilary would advise her to “stop blubbering and get on with it!” They both smile. Mariah receives a text, but its from Sharon (Sharon Case). Devon asks her to share what’s going on so it can give him a distraction.

Mariah reveals everything going on with Tessa, and how worried she is. Devon dials up her fear, saying she may not be blowing this out of proportion. He reminds her that people think they have a lot of time, but sometimes that isn’t the case. He feels she should do whatever it takes to find Tessa, but Devon wants to hold off donating the stuff. Mariah tells him to hold onto it for as long as he needs. They hug and she leaves.

Summer Corners Billy

Summer gets on the elevator, stops it from moving; demanding Billy stops avoiding her and talk.  Jack finds Ashley on the rooftop, revealing Nick bought the leasing company. Ashley is done talking to Billy about it, pretending to support him so he doesn’t know what hit him. Jack toasts her to a brilliant plan.

Billy tells Summer he doesn’t have feelings for her. He says she kissed him and he pushed her away. She wants him to own what he is feeling and do it right now. He orders her to stop playing these games. Summer doesn’t want a boy like Kyle (Michael Mealor), she wants a man.

Billy said maybe in some alternative universe where Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) didn’t exist he would be attracted to her. He tells her she is beautiful, gorgeous, exciting and frustratingly unpredictable. Billy says he is resisting her because he is madly in love with her mother; he’s certain Phyllis is just as committed. Billy tells her he is going on a business trip as Summer begs him to stop fighting this. He hits the elevator button open, leans in and tells her, “GAME OVER!”
