The Young and the Restless Day Ahead Spoilers for Monday, October 22: Mariah Being Followed, Kyle And Dina Fight Over Game-changing Documents

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) begins with Kyle (Michael Mealor) feeling Dina (Marla Adams) should be careful with the papers, as they may not prove anything; Dina insists these papers will prove that girl wrong as she was a very good mother!

Billy (Jason Thompson) arrives at Jabot, wanting to see the new Jaboutique press release; Gloria’s (Judith Chapman) replacement admits he has heard some gossip about Billy and Phyllis’ (Gina Tognoni) breakup. Billy says it is a cause for celebration as he kicked two habits at once.

Dina’s Shocking Reveal

Inside the office, Kyle diverts Dina’s attention by suggesting they go through the papers at John’s (Jerry Douglas) desk. Kyle quietly locks the doors to avoid any interruptions. Dina is getting frustrated looking through the papers, as Kyle tries to keep her calm. She presents Kyle with the right document, verifying that everything Ashley (Eileen Davidson) has created are to be solely hers; Dina shouts and Billy hears it, wondering who is in the office, while Kyle is utterly shocked.

Sharon (Sharon Case) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) realize that whoever is threatening them, knows that JT (Thad Luckinbill) is buried in Chancellor Park, and if they don’t give into their demands; everyone will know the truth by tomorrow.

Phyllis Surprises Jack and Nick

Jack (Peter Bergman) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) are having a business meeting at GCAC, when Phyllis joins them, saying she has had an epiphany. She’s better off without Billy and they are going to toast to “new beginnings”; both Nick and Jack look at each other.

Billy pounds on the door as Ted calls security. Kyle walks out and Ted says it is a false alarm; Kyle says that Dina got it in her head that she wanted to see John and gets like this, promising he can handle this. Billy leaves as Ted stays at his desk.

Jack and Nick both want to know what made Phyllis see the light, she says that she came to a fork in the road. Jack thinks that maybe she found out that Billy is more in debt than she realized as Nick thinks something much deeper happened that she is admitting. She says she saw a very ugly side to Billy and that is all Nick needs to know, he leaves Phyllis and Jack alone.

Jack wants her to know he is very proud of her for taking back her life and that she is a bright, powerful, independent woman who has so much good in her. He loves that Summer (Hunter King) gets to see how brave her mother really is. Phyllis tells him to stop as she begins to tear up, as she doesn’t deserve him being so nice.

Victoria tells Sharon to stay positive and that Phyllis could be right about them bluffing about exposing them. Sharon says they need to be done; but Victoria feels if they pay the threat will never be done.

Jack had hoped Billy would come back from rehab a better man, but Phyllis worries this is just a preview of what is still to come. She knows this is what she did to him; but he got her back in the worst way possible. She wants to know how Jack always forgives the unforgivable, he is more than she ever deserves. She admits what her and Billy did to Jack was selfish and heartless. He says beating herself up over it doesn’t solve anything. She says words is all she has right now and apologizes for everything she has done to them and especially to him. He tells her he has forgiven her a long time ago.

Kyle Tries To Hide Dina’s Documents

Dina is very happy she has found the papers and holds them close to her chest and can’t wait to show them to Ashley. Kyle tells her that the papers mean the entire annihilation of Jabot and even though Dina meant well, as this was a present for Ashley from both her and John. Kyle doesn’t believe John would agree to this, but Dina shows Kyle that John DID sign it. She demands Kyle take her home!

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is at Crimson with Christian, when Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) comes in. Nick arrives a short time later; Nikki checks her phone realizing she left her ringer off during nap time and suddenly her face changes saying she has a work issue. Phyllis also leaves Jack quickly saying she as a time sensitive issue she has to deal with; both women rushing off. Rey tells Nick, the same thing happened with Sharon at work today!

Phyllis Tries To Trace Blackmail Email

At Victoria’s office, Phyllis attempts to trace the digital footprint of the blackmailer; all four women have no idea who could have seen them. Phyllis tells them, they need to go one step at a time, and hopefully in a minute they will know who they are dealing with.

Rey gives Christian a toy car to play with, of course it is a police car; explaining why he has a toy car with him. Nick learns Rey has no kids of his own, but gets a chance to ask about his wife. Rey says he keeps his life private. Nick feels that Rey probably isn’t that private with Rey, bringing up their conversation about his mattress; Rey tries to explain the situation but Nick tells him that he has known Sharon their whole lives, there is nothing Rey knows about Sharon that Nick doesn’t. He warns Rey that he is on to him.

Kyle reads through the paperwork as Dina orders him to give the document back. Kyle wants to know whose idea it was to give Ashley ownership of all her patents. Dina says it was her idea and John agreed. Kyle tells her to prove she is a good mother, buy her a car or buy her a house; not give her the life blood of a company!

She laughs when she learns from Kyle that giving Ashley sole ownership of all the patents for all the products Ashley created for Jabot is practically everything. Ashley owns pretty much all the major product lines and may as well have signed over the entire company to her. Dina tells him to watch her tone. He apologizes and says this is a serious error in judgment and promises to take care of it.

Billy tells Jack that Kyle took Dina to Jabot, as Dina might be in one of those “Time Warp” things and Kyle wouldn’t let Billy see her. Back at Jabot, Dina doesn’t trust Kyle and begins calling out for John; Kyle tries to get her to forget about the document but she is too quick and grabs it from him, telling him she wants him gone.

Phyllis stops, saying the emailer is using a VPN, revealing whoever is doing this knows what they are doing and the only thing they can do, is move the body. Phyllis says these are desperate times that call for desperate measures. Sharon suggests they just pay the money as she has been saying this whole time, and leaves to spend time with her daughters as this may be her last night with them for a long time.

Nick And Rey Bicker

Nick continues to confront Rey, who asks Nick why he thinks he is the authority on faithfulness? Nick tells him that the longer he plays interference, it is one more night that Christian isn’t in Sharon’s arms, or Faith isn’t with her whole family. Nick tells him to play the hero and do the right thing and stay out of this.

Jack tells Billy about seeing Phyllis and that she didn’t say anything bad about him. Billy says he had a problem and solved it, it wasn’t eloquent but it’s done. Jack admits that Phyllis apologized to him, which Billy thinks is great but suggests if he wants to save anybody, he should save his mother from Kyle. Jack heeds his warning and heads out the door.

Kyle asks Dina to leave the papers at the office, wondering if they are the only copy. She isn’t sure, so Kyle suggests they keep them locked up in the safe at Jabot.

Sharon hugs Mariah (Camryn Grimes) tightly, who is concerned if her mom is okay. They are discussing movies when Mariah gets an unknown number calling her for the 10th time today. Mariah admits she got the feeling that someone has been following her a few times today. Sharon gets very worried as Mariah describes how a car was following her but Mariah feels it was just a spooky podcast getting to her.

Mariah Thinks Someone Is Following Her

Rey is at the GCPD looking at the little toy cars at his desk, while Nick plays at Dark Horse with Christian, talking about making mistakes and the most important things about that is fixing them. Meanwhile, Sharon calls Victoria, Phyllis and Nikki informing them that Mariah was followed and this was a warning, and they will come for anyone’s kids. When Phyllis and Victoria don’t think they would do this, Sharon asks how far do these people have to go to prove this is not a game the women can win? Nikki agrees to pay the money tonight saying she made a promise to keep her daughter and all of them save and intends to keep it.

Kyle talks to Dina about watching a movie after dinner. Dina waits outside the office door while Kyle says he forgot the keys inside the office. Dina thinks he is the chauffeur; he quickly retrieves the document from the safe; but he is too loud in the office and just as he is about to shred the document, she comes in and grabs his hands shouting for him to stop! He apologizes saying it is for the best as they struggle over the document.
