The Young and the Restless Day Ahead Spoilers Friday, August 24: Summer And Phyllis At War – Nikki Confesses J.T. Secret

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, August 24, 2018 begins with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) coming to see Nate (Brooks Donnell) informing him she lied about Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Abby (Melissa Ordway) sits with Arturo (Jason Canela) at Crimson, while she gifts him with a travel pack for his trip with Nick (Joshua Morrow).

Arturo spots Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) at the counter in the coffeehouse and quickly escorts Abby out; Rey sees them leave looking very suspicious. Summer (Hunter King) admits she is going to Philly, but flying on her own dime to prove herself to Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman).

Phyllis Confronts Summer

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) doesn’t buy it, and tells her if she has enough nerve to do all this, she should be woman enough to “own it!” Summer openly tells her that she wants Billy (Jason Thompson), asking her mother if that is enough honesty for her?

Summer says the nagging feeling Phyllis has, is not because of Summer but because her relationship with Billy was dying a slow death. Summer tells Phyllis that Billy wants her, and it is not a fantasy as he has already made it a reality!

Kyle (Michael Mealor) is on the rooftop, when he learns from Gloria (Judith Chapman) that Billy has already left to the airport. Nate knows something is troubling Nikki, that involves Victoria, but she needs to know that whatever she tells him will not go beyond the room.

Nikki Opens Up To Nate

She says it is about Victoria and her ex-JT (Thad Luckinbill). Arturo brings Abby to GCAC for dinner, promising there is nothing bothering him. Summer reveals to Phyllis that Billy made her fantasies a reality but admitting to her how he really feels, quoting him saying if Phyllis wasn’t in the picture, he would totally be into Summer!

Phyllis is sure Summer has been reading too many romance novels, but Summer questions why Billy wouldn’t have told her any of this. Phyllis is sure its because Billy didn’t want to show her how horrible a person her daughter has become.

Summer denies it as Phyllis shouts it is over, as she has been busted. Summer insists she isn’t over as she is this close to winning the prize!Nikki explains how JT had them all fooled, when he returned to Genoa City, he was angry and took it all out on Victoria – first it was emotional and eventually physical.

Nikki says she did everything to keep her safe from this monster, but hates that she is betraying Victoria’s confidence. Nate apologizes that they are both dealing with this, but he isn’t a therapist. Nikki is desperate, saying Victoria needs help, and she needs it now!Victoria arrives at Crimson, where Paul (Doug Davidson) hands Rey something he dropped.

Paul sits down with Victoria, wondering why she hasn’t come to see him even once about JT’s disappearance. Phyllis is furious that Summer is willing to destroy their relationship over this but Summer mocks her, telling her not to use the “hurt” routine with her.

Phyllis says she will hurt Billy, business-wise because she works for him. She hurt Jack deeply, but Summer calls her hypocritical because she cheated on Jack with Billy. Summer throws it in her face that she isn’t in a relationship, so she isn’t a cheater; then says running someone over with her car is a whole other level of twisted, asking her mother if she wanted her to go on and on.

Phyllis demands to know what she has done to Summer for all of this. Summer says she learned from the master, but she isn’t nearly as bad as her mother. Phyllis yells that Summer has been given everything she’s ever wanted her entire life being “Princess Newman” and she has no idea what it means to fight for everything she needs. Summer reminds her mom that her husband died, her heart has been broken and been cheated on so now that its biting Phyllis in the ass, it’s too bad when Billy will move on with someone who bores him.

Summer tells Phyllis, after a lifetime of making other people miserable, this is what women like you get when you get old! Karma comes knocking and every ugly thing that you hate about me, is a direct reflection of you!!

Phyllis slaps Summer. Abby and Arturo talk about his trip with Nick, wondering what he will do to amuse himself while away. He asks Abby to come with him on the business trip; but she turns him down, expecting some video chatting while he’s gone.

Rey Corners His BROTHER Arturo

Rey walks up to their table and Arturo orders him to turn around and go away.Nikki shares how Victoria’s emotional roller coaster and Nate says although he isn’t an expert it sounds like she has PTSD (Post-traumatic stress). Nikki tells Nate that her son, Dylan McAvoy (then-Steve Burton) had it post-war.

Nate says if she keeps pushing it down, it won’t work for long and suggests Victoria should be seeing a therapist he knows in Madison, but Nikki says in this instance that is not the answer. Kyle goes into Billy’s office, calls Ashley (Eileen Davidson) asking what he should be looking for.Summer comes down the stairs saying she is leaving, as she doesn’t need to be attacked by her mother. Phyllis wonders if she is going to seek comfort from Billy.

Summer says she is still going to be with Billy, as Phyllis promises her Billy won’t fall for her; she slams the door behind Summer and breaks down in tears. Nate reveals Victoria has pushed him away and if he tries to intervene, she will push him away harder but Nikki is persistent that he will be the one who can break down the walls and help Victoria any way he can. Paul brings Victoria a coffee, saying it is very frustrating that JT was in town and they were unable to make an arrest.

She doesn’t want to think about him but let’s it slip that it would be impossible for them to get JT behind bars. Paul is curious about her answer but promises they will keep searching. Summer finds Kyle at the bar on the rooftop, telling him about the fight with Phyllis and her hitting Summer. Kyle suggests she should rethink her plans with Billy before things get even worse with her mom; Summer says Phyllis crossed the line.

Abby demands to know what is going on between Arturo and Rey. Abby figures out this is the reason they left the coffeehouse and Arturo says she doesn’t want to hear Rey chew him out again. Abby learns that Rey is Arturo’s older brother, and she doesn’t look happy that Arturo never said anything. Phyllis makes a call, saying it is an emergency and she will make it worth their while.

Victoria returns to her office just as Nikki arrives with Nate in tow. Nikki tells Victoria she told Nate about her ordeal with JT. Victoria shouts at Nikki saying she had no right sharing that private information and asks if she would like her to share all of Nikki’s dark secrets with the world. Abby says the brothers look alike, but as they continue to argue, she tells them she knows all about family drama.

She is introduced as Arturo’s new girlfriend, as Rey apologizes for making her feel uncomfortable. Rey says he has been running around his whole life, cleaning up Arturo’s messes – Arturo leaves, with Abby in tow. Summer continues to tell Kyle everything as Kyle defends Phyllis saying she was probably reacting in the moment and offers to give Summer the car if she wants it that bad.

Summer says it is more than a bet, as Kyle says Billy has ruined every relationship he has been in and if he is willing to sleep with the daughter of his girlfriend, there is no way Summer will change him. Summer talks about one gambling night where Billy bet Jabot’s boat and lost it; but won it back in a card game. Summer gets a text, saying its a game changer. Abby and Arturo enjoy a farewell drink at the Abbott home.

He doesn’t want to talk about it, but she’s more concerned about how the interaction affected him. He’s hoping Rey will be gone soon, promising to stay in touch with her while he is gone. He kisses her goodbye and leaves.

Phyllis Sets Up Summer

Victoria insists she doesn’t need a medical intervention as Nate knew she wouldn’t welcome the visit. He says he can help her in any capacity. She keeps saying she is strong and dismisses them both, slamming the door behind them.

Summer shows the text to Kyle, that says Billy didn’t go to Philly, he wants to meet her on the boat instead. Kyle pleads with her not to do this. She says she won the bet and he lost! It turns out Phyllis sent the message from Billy’s computer, hoping Summer will enjoy her cruise! The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on the CBS network.
