Phyllis Is A Mess

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) arrives at Jabot, wearing a very large hat. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) comes out of the office, demanding Gloria (Judith Chapman) to find a temp for her if she is sick. Back in her office, Traci (Beth Maitland) and Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) both surprised Phyllis had the nerve to show up; all wondering if they involve Phyllis in what is going on.

Abby (Melissa Ordway) greets Jack (Peter Bergman) at the elevators at Dark Horse, learning Billy (Jason Thompson) kicked Phyllis out, but no one has heard from Nick. Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) has a document for Nick to sign, just as they doubt he is going to come in; he comes off the elevator all about business. He informs them he made a mistake and the wedding imploded but he has every intention of marrying Sharon!

Ashley doesn’t trust Phyllis, feeling she can’t separate business and personal. Lauren says even though she is hurting like hell, she still showed up for work; this leaves Traci as the tie breaker. Traci feels she can’t concentrate on anything except where Billy is. Meanwhile, Summer (Hunter King) wakes up to an empty bed, calling out for Billy.

Nick finds the document for Tessa, she leaves and tells Abby and Jack they can tell him how much he is an idiot he is. Jack says that isn’t the term strong enough for how royally he screwed up; but they can’t stand in judgment. Jack says he is there if he needs to talk but advises him to get his act together. Ashley tells Traci she is ready to relieve her of the CEO position and first order of business is call an emergency board meeting and remove the blood Abbott clause. Traci tells her, that she is still in charge. Summer says she didn’t blab, and it wasn’t Kyle (Michael Mealor); Phyllis admits she is her own worst enemy and worries about Billy as she called the Abbott house, learning he didn’t even spend the night there. Phyllis hangs up where the new temp, Ted greets her, saying Ms Abbott and the others are needing her in the CEO office.

Abby and Victoria both defend Sharon as Victoria hopes Billy actually went to rehab like he promised. Nick leaves, hoping he can win Sharon back. Jack rushes in the room, telling Abby they need to get to Jabot, pronto!

The women wait for the others, but Traci is torn feeling they should wait for the rest of the board; Ashley continues to push for the vote right now. Traci gives in and the voting begins. Mariah wonders if this is what it feels like to be a normal person and in a real relationship. She admits it’s nice to know what its like to have something to miss.

Ashley wants to be CEO, Abby seconds that. Kyle suggests Jack should be CEO, but he feels Ashley has all her ducks in a row. Kyle lets him know that Phyllis would never vote for Ashley, Lauren could go either way and Traci isn’t too thrilled with Ashley right now; and Kyle would vote for him and also be his COO. Jack looks at Ashley, mulling over the idea.

Kyle nominates his father, revealing he is not under contract with Dark Horse and Jabot owns his heart; Ashley is furious. Traci asks if they should do it as secret ballot or let it rip?

Nick Asks Rey For Help

Rey informs Nick that cheating is a deal breaker as Nick asks him if he can convince Sharon to hear him out. He says he will try, but that will definitely not be today. Sharon vents to Rey after he tells her that the coast is clear.

Lauren counts the votes, but when Traci abstains herself, refusing to choose between her siblings; the “crown” is given to Ashley, causing both Kyle and Phyllis to leave the office in anger. Ashley Is The New CEO

While Mariah and Tessa and thoroughly enjoying their time together, Phyllis finds them. Mariah immediately admits she told Sharon; but if she thinks she enjoyed ripping her mom’s life apart than she has more problems with her lack of impulse control and common decency. Mariah stands up for herself, saying she had every right telling Sharon and for Phyllis to stop blaming problems and she should grow up!

Phyllis goes to sit at the bar, just as Nick walks in. They both know it is awkward but can’t avoid each other forever. Summer is at Crimson, leaving Billy a message understanding now that he is in rehab. She wants him to know how much their night meant to her and can’t wait to see him again.

Abby and Lauren celebrate with Ashley when Traci asks for a moment alone with Ashley. Ashley thanks her as Traci tells her that it matters what happens to this family and Jabot. Traci is very unease about how this all happened; Ashley is worried about Billy and all of it too. Traci hopes she won’t squander this opportunity. Jack walks in as Traci leaves.

Sharon Catches Nick With Phyllis

Nick and Phyllis drink away their sorrows, only for Sharon to catch them together at the bar. She tells them it is really classy that any rejection he gets he slinks back to Phyllis and suggests they both do it on the bar, wondering why they are even holding back; or better yet, take her on Sharon’s honeymoon. She calls Nick “pathetic” and Phyllis a “conniving tramp”.

Jack admits to Ashley he is happy at Dark Horse, but his heart is at Jabot; but they are right that you can never go home again. He regrets the blood Abbott clause and how much pain it caused her, but it is all in the rear-view mirror now. He tells her to take a seat in Dad’s chair and John Abbott would totally approve. Ashley tears up and sits down.

Sharon mocks Phyllis asking if they were discussing their child. Phyllis defends herself, saying in a weak moment, they made a terrible mistake and Nick has forgiven her for far worse. She throws it in Sharon’s face that it was no wonder Nick was with Phyllis while Sharon was dithering over whether to go through with this wedding. Sharon reassures her she is not going to become a puddle. She tells Nick to hear her when she says they are done and threatens Phyllis to not mess with her, or she will be the one who becomes a puddle!
