The Young and The Restless Eileen Davidson Wraps Up Her Y&R Run

Say it isn’t so! It seemed like just yesterday when it was reported that The Young and The Restless Eileen Davidson would be returning to her daytime television roots, much to the excitement of her fans. And now it looks like the actress is just finishing up her final episodes of Y&R. The blonde beauty, who is best known for her role as Ashley on The Young and the Restless, has just wrapped up her most recent run on the show.

For a lot of fans, this is devastating news, as they love seeing her as the vivacious yet very power-hungry Ashley Abbott on the show. For the longest time, she was trying to climb to the top spot and over her brother Jack (Peter Bergman) for complete control of Jabot.

Unfortunately, Eileen has decided not to renew her current contract Instead, she will be leaving daytime television to pursue other projects in the entertainment industry. New reports say that she will film her final The Young and the Restless episode on September 21, 2018. Since the soap world film their episodes several weeks in advance, that means fans will still get to see Ashley until at least the end of the year.

Now as far as her exit storyline, producers are keeping that under wraps. Either way, it will be interesting to see if they will make her exit an open ended one, should Eileen want to return to The Young and the Restless in the future. Fingers crossed!
