According to a report from Deadline, Y&R cast and crew members were sent a notice stating a tentative restart date of early July 2020.

This was reportedly due to COVID-19 modifications and testing a large number of people. They will be back at it soon. Y&R Cast and Crew Sent Production Restart Plans

According to Deadline, there is finally some exciting news to share. The cast and crew have reportedly been sent a letter from producers on when they can get back to work. There is a tentative restart date of July 6, 2020.

The Date is Tentative and Not Guaranteed

Even though a date has been set, it is not guaranteed. It is more of target date and it shouldn’t be postponed unless something happens. There are a lot of uncertainties when it comes to coronavirus pandemic. There is also a long list of safety measures that must be adhered to, including regular testing, or the soap could be shut down again.

What happens off the set could dictate the soap’s future as well. Officials are keeping a close eye on the case numbers. So, if infections skyrocket again, then everyone could be forced to back under lockdown. So, let’s hope that everything goes smoothly

If everything goes well and production does resume in early July, don’t expect new episodes right away. It is true that they will try to get new scenes broadcasted as quickly as possible. However, it is already confirmed that COVID safety protocols will slow production and increase costs.
