Its sister soap, The Bold and the Beautiful has already announced its plans. According to a report from Deadline, Y&R cast and crew members were sent a notice stating a tentative restart date of early July 2020.

B&B Restarts Filming, Then Stops Again

As previously reported, Y&R’s sister soap started production back up last week. However, it was shut down again after just one day. This was reportedly due to COVID-19 modifications and testing a large number of people. They will be back at it soon. Since it is the CBS sister soap of The Young and the Restless, fans have been hoping to hear similar production restart plans.

According to Deadline, there is finally some exciting news to share. The cast and crew have reportedly been sent a letter from producers on when they can get back to work. There is a tentative restart date of July 6, 2020.

Even though a date has been set, it is not guaranteed. It is more of target date and it shouldn’t be postponed unless something happens. There are a lot of uncertainties when it comes to coronavirus pandemic. There is also a long list of safety measures that must be adhered to, including regular testing, or the soap could be shut down again.
