The Young and the Restless spoilers and updates tease that Kate Linder is in the hospital as she recovers from an injury. The veteran actress needs to undergo therapy but will return to the soap soon.

Linder, who’s known as Esther Valentine in the daytime drama, got injured while helping her mother who’s also recovering from physical injuries. The actress thanked all the medical professionals who took care of her including her doctors, nurses, and physical therapists. She also expressed gratitude to her mother, friends, and the cast and crew at The Young and the Restless for all their support and well wishes.

Linder has played the role of Esther since 1982. She earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame because of her role in the soap. Her other acting credits include Lights Out, Hysteria, Erased, Voice from the Stone, and Echo Boomers.

Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) is returning to Genoa City after Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) convince him to work for Newman Media. When that happens, he’ll most likely be working with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). He’ll be on Sally’s radar whether it’s as a new love interest or just to provoke Adam. She’ll be disappointed with Adam because he’ll put on the brakes on their budding relationship. So, she may want to antagonize him by moving on with the new guy in town.

Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will make a shocking revelation about his past. He’ll explain that he covered up his history because he didn’t want people to know that he had a poor childhood, an abusive father, and a mother who tolerated violence in their home.
