The Young And The Restless News – Eva La Rue Opens Up About Her Living Nightmare
John, who was best known for his role as Edmund on All My Children, died following a stroke on March 28th. While Eva has certainly been mourning the loss of her dear husband, she’s also been dealing with another major issue. The home that she and John shared was broken into following his death. The thieves made with a lot of personal belongings that included Callahan’s laptop. But the worst part is that they stole his identity, too.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Eve explained to the publication, “They have been taking out loans and credit cards in his name and they have siphoned money out of his bank account. It’s been a nightmare. It’s wreaked such havoc for the last four months.”
Y&R News – Eva Still Grieving The Loss Of Her Husband
If that weren’t enough, Eva feels as though this nightmare is a never-ending one as she is doing whatever she can to try and reclaim her husband’s identity after his death. It hasn’t been easy for the actress, to say the least, but she’s still working hard every day. If that weren’t enough, the ongoing pandemic certainly hasn’t been easy for her, especially when it comes to the grieving process.
“As you can imagine, every phone call is being put on hold for like 20 minutes or an hour or two hours, and then people being like, ‘I’m sorry, we can’t help you.’ It’s just like a bureaucratic nightmare,” LaRue said. “Every phone call that we make to try to fix the situation is just insane.”
