First came the whirlwind romance as they isolated together against COVID. Next came the totally staged engagement set up on the beach. The photographer took snaps of the ring, the I Do moment, the loving gazes. Then the train went off the tracks.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Max Ehrich Just Posted A New Breakup Video

There were rumors about Max and what he was doing on his socials but Demi defended him. For a hot minute. Then, poof, the magic was over with accusations of he said, she said, and Demi posting a pic of herself in a sweatshirt that basically said a dog is better than her ex.

Next Max blasted back with an announcement that he learned about his breakup online. There is so much dirt.

Now Max is taking aim again in a new Instagram Live video, in which he sequesters in a bathroom to pour his heart out to the camera.  Several times he gets so emotional that he has to turn away and compose himself. But he always comes back.

He posted it today just hours after Demi released her new song, “Still Have Me,” which was reportedly inspired by the breakup.

Max used the video to accuse his ex of using their relationship as a, “public relations stunt.”

He said: “I’ll support you. You’re great. You’re awesome. Literally, just, like leave me alone and stop using your millions of dollars to write false, fake news about me. Aren’t you tired? All I’ve done is in love with my whole heart. If y’all wanna villainize me, say whatever you want at this point. It’s just the craziest thing. This is the most bizarre experience that I hope no one ever has to experience ever. No person deserves to feel this way.”

Max blamed the media for “manipulating” the situation between him and Demi, and said he had to, “speak [his] truth.”

“I’m a person, just like you’re a person,” he said. “I was in love — the whole world should freaking know it. I thought I found the real deal. Now I found out that I was used. I hope the song’s number one because if that’s what someone wants in the material world, here ya go. Have it. I hope this makes you happy.”

For the record, there have been accusations in the media that Max was the one who used Demi to further his career, as well as a variety of innuendo and speculation about who did what to whom. Sure sounds like a reality show, doesn’t it?
