The Young and The Restless News Update: Victoria Rowell Shares Sad News About Her Brother

TCBS The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Y&R alum Hollywood actress Victoria Rowell, who played Drucilla Winters, has shared with fans that she has lost her dear her brother, David Alan Rowell.

On her Insta she shared some details of their relationship saying they, “miraculously found each other as adults, sharing the same mother, Dorothy Rowell, and the arts!”

She added, “He played guitar with some of New England’s best musicians and opened for Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Tammy Wynette, John Anderson, and more.”

She paid tribute to him by posting, “After touring in Europe playing many different styles, he had come to realize R&B was his first love as a style. David’s first band was with his lifelong friend, Jack Gay.”

She went on to say that, “I searched for David before DNA sites, searching phone books, etc. I found him and will forever remember when the funeral director told me I could not attend our mother’s funeral in the 1980s Maine —her Collins family prohibiting my entry as a black woman. Not only did I enter on my own strengths [but] brother David sat beside me.”

Rowell shared that, “Family is a mystery, not any one thing — how or why we find each other is not without purpose, not without pain, not one-dimensional. Acceptance and surrender have guided me throughout my ancestral voyage.

David leaves behind a daughter, Melissa, and a son, Andy Rowell, his beloved wife, Donna Rowell, and five siblings. Rowell’s fans were very supportive of her and expressed many condolences and wishes for her going forward.

Victoria recently appeared on Y&R in a tribute episode devoted to the late Kristoff St. John who played the role of Neil Winters on the CBS soap.

Prior to that, she played Drucilla Winters on the show and her character was married to Neil. Fans would love to see the actress return and take up where she left off but that doesn’t seem to be in the cards. There was much speculation that she would return after the show returned to production but that has not materialized and there has been no official word about her possible return.
