Viewers of The Young and The Restless know that Abby wanted the great American dream, even though she has herself grown up in the lap of luxury. She wants a husband, children, a white picket fence and maybe a dog or cat or two. But Abby’s dreams may be shattered soon when the questions are finally answered about her missing in action husband, Chance.

The Young and The Restless fans will recall that Chance was called away on a deep cover mission over nine months ago, shortly after the decision to conceive and carry via surrogates. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) donated sperm, while Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) carried the baby, now born and named Dominic Chancellor.

She named the baby without being able to consult with Chance, the D being for Devon and the M being for Mariah. But Abby has been out of contact with Chance for many months now – and not even Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell) has been able to ascertain whether Chance is alive through her contacts.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Last Time Chance Chancellor Called, There Was Violent Noise In The Background And The Call Dropped

The last time Chance did call, there was noise indicating violence or fighting in the background, and his call suddenly dropped! Abby had contacted Christine to try to have the call traced but it was to no avail. All that was known is that Chance and the team he was with were close to closing in on their subject. Nothing has been heard from him since and Christine’s contacts have run out of leads.

The Young and The Restless spoilers show that Abby’s worst fears may be confirmed and he may be found and confirmed dead. Worries have haunted her that may indeed be what has happened, because under normal circumstances he would have enquired about the baby, at least through FBI channels. Dominic is now several weeks old. It is also possible that someone else’s remains could be misidentified as that of Chance, but the effect would be the same.

Y&R Spoilers – Close Friend Devon Hamilton Will Be A Comfort – But Will He Become Too Close?

The Young and The Restless fans have enjoyed Devon’s romance with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan). Many fans of The Young and The Restless hope that Devon and Amanda will marry and have the family together that Devon was so cruelly bereaved of when Amanda’s late twin Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) died in childbirth with both mother and child passing away. But drama and heartache being the staple of soap operas, hardly anyone ever gets a happily ever after!

Devon and Abby are bonding closer and closer to each other as he bonds closer and closer to Dominic. Viewers will have noticed that he seems to have a magic touch with the tiny one, and he can calm him down when no one else can!

Abby naturally will be bereaved when she may be notified that Chance will never come home – and Devon can certainly empathize. She wants her husband back, of course, but that may not happen. She will be concerned that little Dominic will grow up without a father – but that is where Devon will step up. There is certainly a chance that in such adverse circumstances, Devon and Abby’s bond may turn into romance in spite of themselves!

      Either bring Donny back, re-cast the role or kill him off. Tired of hearing about his undercover assignments. And please don't pair Devon and Abby up as a couple just because of blanket baby…

      Uhhh, that's NOT how Hilary passed away. She was in a car with Lily and there was an accident." That's why Lily went to prison. The writers of this blog need to get it right if they're going to write this blog.

      The writers change history to suit the ridiculous storylines they write. It happens on all 3 soaps. I guess they think we fans aren't sharp enough to catch it.
