The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Joshua Morrow Put His House Up For Sale
Longtime viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Josh has been playing Nick Newman for a very long time – since 1988, as a matter of fact. Josh had made some waves when some fans of The Young and The Restless spied that he had listed his house for sale (according to the Los Angeles Times) around the time that Nick was going through some major shakeups in the storylines. He has been playing Nick since he was a teenager himself and debuted as a SORASED (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome) child.
The Young and the Restless spoilers show that Nick is the younger brother of Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and the second child of legacy characters Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Nick and Victoria are also the only full siblings among Victor and Nikki’s children. Indeed, Nick Newman could be considered a legacy character himself he’s been on so long.
Y&R Spoilers – Nick Newman Says Goodbye?
Viewers of The Young and The Restless who were keeping up with Joshua Morrow really got worried as the rumors started ramping up! There was an episode titled “Nick Says Goodbye.” There were two actors who did leave The Young and The Restless as contract players but do recur when asked, about that same time; Hunter King and Michael Mealor. Hunter plays Nick’s daughter with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Michael plays Kyle Abbott, Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) son and now Summer’s husband since the two characters recently married off-screen.

Joshua’s character Nick has been heavily involved in ongoing storylines recently, such as trying to protect Victoria from marrying a powerful con artist turned business mogul, Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). The wedding went through, but there is the fallout that is forecasted to play out with Nick in the thick! Nick and Phyllis are headed to a rough patch as well, which always provides a lot of drama!
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Joshua Morrow Almost Walked Away A Couple Of Times
The Young and The Restless’ Joshua Morrow admits there have been a few times in which he had thought about walking away from his long-running acting job. In 2018, he had an interview with Michael Fairman in which he told Fairman that after twenty-five years of playing Nick, he was thinking about leaving—at the time, he was obviously feeling a little burnt out! Josh told Fairman he didn’t think he could do it anymore.
There was a period where Josh thought Nick had said everything he had to say and lived everything he had to live. But shortly afterwards, a dramatic vengeance storyline came up in which Nick tangled with his father, Victor and Josh bounced back! Of course, everyone took time off during the 2020 lockdowns. Josh noted that when they came back to the studio, things were different, but with all the requirements because of covid, that is understandable. But for now, viewers of The Young and The Restless can be assured that Joshua Morrow as Nick Newman is not going anywhere!
