The Young And The Restless’ Shemar Moore Heartwarming Reunion With Onscreen Family

The Young and the Restless spoilers note that social media was buzzing on Tuesday, February 17, when it was announced that Shemar Moore and Vivica A. Fox would be returning to the CBS soap for a multi-episode storyline.

They’ll reprise their roles of Malcolm Winters and Dr. Stephanie Simmons, and according to reports, the two started filming on February 17.

One Y&R star took the opportunity to share a heartwarming reunion between Moore and his onscreen family.

Winters Family Reunited

Christel Khalil (Lily Winters) posted a photo on her Instagram after the news about Moore and Fox’s return hit.

She uploaded a picture on the set of the GCAC dining room, of her and Moore, along with Sean Dominic (Nate Hastings), and Bryton James (Devon Hamilton Winters).

The caption read, “Day 1 with Daddy O done!”

Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore) hit the comments section with four heart emojis, while Lauralee Bell (Christine Romalotti) wrote, “So great” (with a heart emoji). Karla Mosley, who plays Dani Dupree on the Y&R’s sister soap, Beyond the Gates, also commented with a heart emoji.

More Details About Moore’s Return

While there’s not a lot of information about the storyline regarding Malcolm and Stephanie’s return, and if they are arriving at GC together or apart, it’s clear Moore will share scenes with his Winters family. Malcolm and Stephanie’s return takes place in April.

The last time fans saw Malcolm was in 2023 for The Young and the Restless’ 50th anniversary. His original run on the CBS soap occurred from 1994 to 2005, and he returned for brief appearances in 2014 and 2019, too.

Meanwhile, it’s been a hot minute since Stephanie was in the little town. Fox’s stint on the daytime drama didn’t last too long, as she was on the show from 1994 to 1995.

However, the good doctor did date the freelance photographer, so could the two share a reunion (or perhaps they’ve already reunited offscreen)? Only time will tell.
