The Young and the Restless spoilers show that Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will be returning to Genoa City and many fans are looking forward to seeing a familiar face that will add some new dynamics to the show. However, who exactly is Daniel?

Many of us are aware that he is Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) son but he hasn’t been in town since 2016, so what is he going to be coming back for and what happened to him in the past? As it turns out, he has a crazy past much like the rest of the characters.

Phyllis followed Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) while he was in New York. After drugging him and forcing him into her bed, she made up her pregnancy. Danny wed Phyllis in order to have the child. The birth of Daniel Romalotti Jr. But soon after, Danny and Phyllis got divorced. After Daniel the infant fell ill, Danny remarried Phyllis. Up until Danny realized he wasn’t the baby’s father, the family was content. He obtained sole custody of the toddler, whom he still regarded as his son, after divorcing Phyllis. Daniel traveled with him to Europe.

Y&R Spoilers – He Returned As A Teenager

In 2003, Daniel made a comeback as a teenager. When he was reunited with his mother, he was shocked to learn the truth because he believed she had abandoned him. To become closer, he and Phyllis shared an apartment. Cassie Newman, a 14-year-old with feelings for the older Daniel, chose to attend a covert party because Daniel was going. When Cassie arrived, she discovered Daniel intoxicated because he missed Lily, from whom he was estranged. Even though she hadn’t learned her lesson, Cassie took his keys and started the car after deciding he was too intoxicated to drive home. They had a vehicle accident. Everyone assumed Daniel was driving because both of them hit their heads and were unable to recall what had happened.

He has been involved in a lot more, including a relationship with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) but before that, he and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) planned a fake attack so Daniel could come in and be the hero for Lily, however, she nearly died at the incident, but still fell for him and they ended up getting married! Of course, it’s been a long time since they were together and now that he is coming back to town, many wonder if he will catch Lily’s eye yet again.
