The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Abbot Family Supports Ashley’s Offer To Theo – Kyle Faces New Family Dilemma

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Theo Vanderway’s (Tyler Johnson) entrance into the Abbott family will appear to become easier. Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) return to town is followed with a job offer.

Y&R has made it a point to show Theo’s influencer agent business hasn’t been going well lately. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was hoping that meant his assumed former friend was going to be forced to head back to New York.

The paternity reveal that has Theo being revealed as Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) grandson instantly meant that Kyle’s worst fears were dwarfed a billion fold. While the cousin’s grandmother hasn’t been tapped as a member of the billionaires club, she’s well off. That money link, along with Ashley’s offer, wink at Theo’s ability to sustain his place in Genoa City, Wisconsin, rather than fly off to Paris, France, to work for his aunt.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Dina Mergeron Storyline Felt Rushed

Viewers knew something was coming when Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) asked Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) to work with him on a book project that highlighted their parent’s lives. Scant mention of John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) backstory followed, as has been the pattern since Adams reprised her role on Y&R.

So, within a matter of weeks, the siblings learned that Dina had a child with Stuart Brooks (Robert Colbert). That boy, who was given up for adoption, had a son, Theo. And just like that, the real reason why Kyle’s friend existed was revealed.

The above felt rushed. However, viewers had been getting to know Theo for a number of months before his genetics were identified. Johnson is an engaging actor, it’s always great to see Adams, and the new dynamic between Kyle and Theo sets up well. So, all is understood by soap fans.

Y&R Spoilers – Fight To Preserve Kola Begins

Kyle feels that part of Theo’s push into GC has to do with disrupting, or even taking Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) from him. While he wouldn’t open admit the second reason stated, Lola’s growing fondness for Theo triggers Kyle.

It took a lot to bring Kyle and Lola together. They weren’t destined, but chose to merge their different worlds into a combined purpose, where each half of Kola supports the other.

Theo’s insertion of himself into Kyle’s new life initially hampered growth. Then, his play to get Lola’s attention and crash of the wedding seriously broke trust. But Kyle was going to give Theo another chance, based on Lola’s insistence, until the family news dropped.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – No Longer Alone In Genoa City

Theo was all alone in his adopted home town. That makes him a sympathetic character. The audience, like Lola, sees that Theo’s front isn’t all about trouble. Instead, he’s surviving purely based on moxie. Even Kyle recently admitted that his newfound cousin was a self-made guy when asked about their days in New York.

Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) bond with Theo is shaky, as she’s still pinning for Kyle underneath. King’s character recognizes that the Abbott news is momentous and continues to keep an eye on the Theo-Lola angle.

With the Abbott family tie known and supported by everyone, except Kyle, Theo can’t be counted among the solitary anymore. And with that, opportunities abound.
