The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and his entourage will drive Y&R for a long while. With the J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) extended storyline now a mere memory, one of the show’s all-time most controversial characters stands at center stage, flanked by current and returning characters.

Three years ago this summer, Adam (as then played by Justin Hartley) was seen in countless episodes. He was embroiled in an ongoing battle with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson).
Hendrickson is now known to be returning from General Hospital, where she’s been playing Margaux Dawson. She’ll complete the gang’s-all-here comeback this the summer.
As fans recall, Chloe never forgave Adam’s (as then played by Michael Muhney) accidental run-down of Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono). Whether he actually committed that act remains a seeming plot hole, possibly to be addressed in this revived classic character(s) go-round.
Young And The Restless Spoilers: Kevin Fisher Aided Chloe Mitchell
Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) aided Chloe after she blew up the cabin in September 2016. He then participated in the orchestrated fake of Chloe’s death. Kevin, Chloe, and Bella Mitchell (Cali May Kinder) took off for Oregon, with Victor’s willful help.
Rikaart’s return to Y&R was signaled earlier this year. The actor had played Leo Stark on Days of our Lives since last year. His return as Kevin just happened, which is fueling the entire Adam maelstrom.
Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor Newman (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) were being driven by Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to the cabin in early September 2016. Victor’s plan was to have Nick pick Adam up and take him and the rest of the Chadam family to an air strip. That flight out of Genoa City never happened due to the explosion and Adam’s presumed death.
Y&R Spoilers: Nick Newman Reveals Texts From Chelsea Mitchell
Nick’s revealed receipt of texts from Chelsea, dating back to last fall, foreshadowed what seemed to be a coming Chadam reunion. Considering Chelsea’s now-revealed marriage, that reunion may not be in order. However, Egan’s announced return to the cast preceded Hendrickson’s. So one of Adam’s true love’s will soon be back.
Adam is Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) son. That alone makes this character important in the annuls of show history. Add on the many recasts and impassioned buzz surrounding Adam since the early part of this decade, and Y&R was wise to resurrect this never-dead man.

Start with Victor having learned that someone resembling Adam was seen in Las Vegas, Nevada. That made sense as the Moustache sincerely grieved the loss of his prodigal son at the time.
Young And The Restless Spoilers: Sharon Newman Was The Right Choice For Adam Newman’s Confidant
Victor’s pick of Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) as Adam’s confidant worked. Grossman’s alter ego’s mind was unlocked, but so too, possibly, was a renewed interest in Sharon. Shadam dates back to the start of his decade, predating Chadam by a number of years.
All of the above players are swarming around each other, with Adam as the spark. Yes, great soapy days are here and also lie ahead.

I wish some of the storyline closures would happen faster. Things have been up in the air for so long, and the previous writers tried to kill off so many characters. Many have just disappeared never to be seen again. It will be difficult, but one thing that needs to be cleared up is “Who really ran over Delia?” That was a major storyline which never got resolved, and caused so much hatred and bitterness. I never believed Adam was really to blame. I think it was Sage or Gabriel Bingham. Both are now dead, but this has left Adam and Billy and Chloe hating each other.
Have to agree, and why are we rehashing poor little Delia’s death and ALL the crazies coming out of the woodwork , it will get to confusing for me .No one is happy any more ….

The only good thing to come out of the new writers are faster storylines and Mia’s exit.
Since Adam has come back, I am not in too much of a hurry to watch Y&R anymore. I already gave up B&B due to the baby switch. The new Adam is boring and I’m think it is time for me to walk away from Y&R as well.
