The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Adam Newman’s Future – What’s Next For Him?

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) future was completely unclear. Then, because of the concern his father and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) showed for him, he gained a new opportunity to make a choice.

Instead of reliving the cycle of mental dysfunction into an indefinite future, Adam is being given the power to reclaim his life. Hardcore Y&R fans know that it’s been more than ten years since this character was stable. The mental health care he’s receiving is creating a chance for Adam to work toward redemption. But will he chose to do so and then maintain that course?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – A Long Way From Chris Engen

The actor’s name shown in the subject header is known by devoted fans of the show. Among them were those who were watching when Y&R SORAS’d (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome) the character from Hayden Tank’s (Adam from the mid-1990s through the early 2000s) childhood embodiment to Chris Engen’s (Adam) adult version recast in 2008. The presentation of the son Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) had with Hope Adams (Signy Coleman) was a major moment in the show’s history.

Adams was Hope’s name before she married Braeden’s character and later, Cliff Wilson (David Cowgill), who Adam believed was his father. Engen’s entrance into the show included Hope telling Adam, on her deathbed, that Victor was his biological father.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chadam Collapses Or Survives?

Adam knows that he made a major mistake in bungling the latest Chadam revival. Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) has stood by him more than any other woman, except for Hope.

While Adam feels a more intense connection to Sharon, she’s committed to marrying Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) on New Year’s Eve. While Sharon’s emotions are as conflicted as Adam’s, regarding the potential of a Shadam revival, she does seem inclined to not allow herself to be drawn back into the whirlwind.

One key aspect of Adam’s recovery is how he’ll approach Chelsea’s inclusion in it. If he does, then it’s likely that he’s being truthful in wanting to regain the type of stability viewers haven’t seen since Engen debuted more than a decade ago.

Y&R Spoilers – Earning A Place In The Newman Family

Adam has long tagged himself as the aggrieved victim. He’ll need to drop that selfish stance, as Victor wants the best for him. All attacks against the Moustache and every other Newman must cease in order for a true place at the family table to be earned. But that will take time.

However, everyone in Genoa City, Wisconsin, and all viewers know that Adam is a devious individual. So, while he might front a desire to embrace a new approach to life it will be wise to withhold an acceptance of that as the truth until he proves himself, inch by inch, well into 2021, and probably beyond.

I would really like to see Adam heal. I feel positive mental illness stories are helpful to people watching with some of their own struggles. And there are many people at the moment struggling because of this pandemic so a realistic and positive mental illness recovery for Adam would be a good thing and a breath of fresh air for the character, he needs a new chapter, all this constant scheming is getting depressing and boring. Something new would be a welcome change.

I have watched this soap since it first aired, it used to be my favorite. Now, well, I am not happy with it. Adam was always my favorite when he joined the show. Would like to see Adam become the man he really is. Look at it this way, If you were in Adam's shoes, how would you feel if your entire family hated you (with the exception of Victor) two jerks (Billy and Chloe) in the show hate him because they think he deliberately killed their daughter. It was Billy who left his daughter in the car while he went in the store on an unlit highway in a coal black witches costume. Adam thought he hit a dog, stopped and walked around the car, saw the dog running down the highway. Evidently, Dee Dee either crawled into the bushes or whoever hit her knocked her into the bushes. Anyone who has ever hit a small animal knows what a thump it is. Hitting a child would make a heck of a bump, and dents in the car. Adam did not hit Dee. Billy kidnaps Adam at gun point, makes him take him everywhere he thought Dee would not get to see. Adam winds up with a bullet in his side, over a hill with the car on fire and about to explode! Billy walks away. Next story, Princess Chloe puts another bullet in Adams gut, she thinks she blew him up when she kidnaps Adam, and she puts another bullet in him when he shows up again in GC with amnesia. She, as usual walks away Scott free. She needs to dissappear permanently! How would your mental state be?? We need new writers. Hopefully Adam will heal!

I agree with you except for one thing. Every soap opera needs a villain and since Theo has left the show, Adam is the only one left to be a villain, unless, of course they bring in a new villain. 🙂
