The Young and the Restless spoilers document that the influence of family can cause people to make atypical decisions in Genoa City, Wisconsin. That factor is strongly in play for Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Amanda agreed to defend her grandfather, who claims that he has been falsely accused of killing Richard Nealon (no actor known to have been cast for this role). Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) is a slick guy. This politician knows how to get what he wants, which now includes using his rediscovered granddaughter’s legal skills.

Adam is falsely accused of poisoning Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). He’s innocent, with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) having framed him.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Amanda Sinclair Being Manipulated?

It feels like Sutton isn’t telling the truth. He’s a slick talker, which seems to be why this character’s backstory is connected to a cliched profession.

Sutton may have killed Richard because of his connection to Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey). If Storey’s character has staying power, then she’ll likely have no knowledge of her father’s assumed crime.

However, larger issues could be in play, with Sutton’s presumption of innocence being the hallmark of the legal system Amanda believes in.

Y&R Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson Out To Get Adam

Adam isn’t paranoid. Chelsea really is out to get him. She’s gone so far as to have concealed her stroke recovery and now, is going along with a plan to claim that Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is in danger, with sickness being the lure.

Chelsea’s haughty gamble includes her believing that she can outsmart Adam and Rey. It would seem almost certain that Egan’s character will fail, with Adam being proven innocent and Chelsea facing the consequences of the crimes she’s committed.

Chadam was once a loving couple. While both halves have long been shady, their belief in each other was solid in the mid 2010’s. Then, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) blew up the cabin, which led to Adam’s assumed death, period of amnesia, and eventual return to GC.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Double Truth Is Revealed

Amanda will learn the truth about her father’s death. She will either prove Sutton was innocent and how Richard really died, or likely be presented with disturbing facts through other means in the near future.

As for Adam, the eternally doomed man can’t seem to sustain stability for any length of time. But, as fans know, his constant interaction with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) served to provoke Rey and Chelsea. The current crisis will climax when the full truth comes out.

Add to the above Adam’s general bothersome demeanor and he’s only left with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) as his sole, current defender. Of course having the Moustache in his corner is quite the defensive weapon, as many have realized through the years when challenging any one of Victor’s family members.
