The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal quite the shocker for Victoria. The poor woman thought she was going on a romantic getaway to New York and that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) really likes Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and he’s the first man to have caught her eye in a long time. They have a lot in common from business to raising children who aren’t biologically their own. So, when she finally throws caution to the wind for a change and flies to New York with Ashland, she thinks she’s in for quite a treat, but instead she gets to be a sounding board.
No, Ashland’s call in the middle of their meal at Society wasn’t about business. It was from a doctor in New York who has some bad news for Ashland.
Y&R Spoilers -Ashland Locke Doesn’t Have Long
How cliche can we get here? Victoria likes a man who likes her back and then he tells her the doctor informed him he only has six months to live. If anyone wants to make a parody of soaps, this is the canned storyline they would use.
At least Ashland doesn’t have some mystery blood disease like Victor (Eric Braeden) had in 2019 when he faked his death but was then miraculously cured. Ashland has cancer so at least we are dealing with something real here.
Victoria tries to keep her cool as Ashland explains his condition, but this was the last thing she expected. Is this why he agreed to give up pursuing custody of the son that is legally his without any real fight? So much for the man Kyle (Michael Mealor) has been deathly afraid of all these years. We guess his little health episode at the Newman ranch makes sense.

While this is a lot for Victoria to process, she feels a connection to this man and wants to be as supportive as possible. He seems to be softening her a bit and Victoria feels that she should be there for him. Well golly gee, Ashland is dying. That's not a big surprise for a storyline. I don't believe it though. I think he has told Victoria that hoping it will get back to Tara for some reason. His reputation is 'ruthless' so don't put anything past him.
Ashland is not dying, right now he is there for the show than he'll take his son away from Tara and leave y & r start his life some where else where she can't find them.
I'd sooner it be Tara who is dying. I rather like Ashland.
