The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Ashland First Arrived March 11, 2021
Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Ashland’s first airdate was March 11, 2021 and the press release described the character as a ruthless corporate raider, and even called him “The Locke Ness Monster”. Well, over the months, as viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall, Locke’s bark turned out to be much worse than his bite, with his now ex-wife Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) turning out to be the real stinker!
She colored him as abusive and controlling, and she played on Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) sympathies, as well as the rest of the Abbott family when she and her young son Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) sought shelter in their home. When Ashland was around the toddler, who was proven to be Kyle’s and not his, he still doted on the child and displayed the traits of a loving father even when he did find out otherwise. Tara was later convicted of fraud and sent to prison, while Harrison went to Italy with Kyle and Summer Newman (Hunter King) who got married and stayed in Italy.
Y&R Spoilers – From A Recurring Role To A Contract For Another Year
Viewers of the Young and The Restless will recall that first, Locke had a heart problem he was being treated for, and after he had a heart attack in a memorable scene where Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) forced him to sign a contract selling his media company, Cyaxeres to him, a cancer diagnosis soon appeared! Viewers of The Young and The Restless figured Locke wouldn’t be around for long, and neither would his portrayer! But inside sources from CBS daytime leaked that Burgi has signed a contract to stay on at least another year as Ashland Locke, and a recent episode seems to confirm it.
Locke had been on an experimental cancer treatment that his new bride Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) had pushed him into, and he confirmed to Victor that his cancer was in remission. In addition, the pairing of Locke with Victoria is very popular, and the power couple is a force to be reckoned with in some very dramatic storylines! Locke has also mentioned to Victoria that he’d like to have some children, so that cements the idea of Burgi staying in Genoa City for the foreseeable future!
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Where Does Locke Go From Here?
Another question viewers of The Young and The Restless likely have is where does Locke go from here? Current storylines have them vying to procure ChancComm and bring it back under the Newman-Locke umbrella, Locke’s companies and Newman Enterprises having merged recently. Some sources say that Burgi himself had not planned on a long run – the last time prior to The Young and The Restless he played a real villain on ABC’s General Hospital.
He was under contract as Paul Hornsby from 2015-2016, and although the character was the District Attorney in Port Charles, and connected to the powerful General Hospital family the Quartermaines, having been married to Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and father of Dillon Quartermaine (Robert Palmer Watkins) he was also a serial killer! He was revealed to have killed six patients at General Hospital, as an “angel of mercy” killer. Even though Burgi’s contract with General Hospital was only for a year as well, perhaps he’ll beat that record and portray Ashland Locke for much longer!

Love Ashton Locke. He adds so much to the program. I am excited that he is staying with Y and R.
