The Young And The Restless: Ashland Locke (Robert Newman)The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) lied to everyone, including Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle). Ashland never had cancer and went to great lengths to make everyone think he did. Even though Ashland lied, Newman believes that the character did it for business only and truly loves Victoria.

The Young And The Restless – Whirlwind Romance

Y&R spoilers reveal that Ashland quickly moved on after Tara Locke’s (formerly played by Elizabeth Leiner) exposure and games. Ashland and Victoria began talking and became friends. Despite Ashland’s shady moves regarding the bidding for Cyaxares (now called Newman Media), Victoria began a romance with “The Locke-ness Monster.”

Despite everyone’s concerns, Victoria moved Ashland into her home and sent her children to live with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Now in boarding school, Victoria went full-speed ahead with Ashland. The two got married shortly after meeting, merged their companies and Victoria supported Ashland during his cancer fight.

Y&R Spoilers – Victor Newman’s Battle

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) never really trusted Ashland. Once Ashland was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, Victor put his investigation on hold. However, when Victor learned that Ashland had a miraculous recovery, he started looking closely at the villain again.

The Young And The Restless  – Duping Victoria Newman-Locke

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Victor hired Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) to dig up dirt in Peru. Victor got what he was searching for and now is desperate to take Ashland down.

One problem is that Michael seems to have gone missing in Peru. The sources that were willing to talk have been eliminated by Ashland’s Peruvian contact. Also, Victoria is taking Ashland’s side and viewing her own family as the enemy.

Y&R Spoilers – Ashland Locke Petrified

Even though it seems that Ashland was just using Victoria, Newman claims that the character truly loves her. Apparently, Ashland did this all to protect his business but is now terrified of losing Victoria. Speaking to TV Guide, Newman explained,

“In my view, Ashland’s love for Victoria is real. He’s figuring out how to protect his part of the business, but I personally think he’s petrified of losing her.”

      They don't look a believable couple. I'm not able to really find this story believable with the character change. I wish it would just end, Ashland leaves town, Victoria gets her comeuppance and Victor takes control.

      Get Ashland out. Gone. Never to return. The new character is so UNBELIEVABLE with Victoria. Set her free.

      Ashland is an accomplished liar and actor(no pun intended) he may have enjoyed his romance with Victoria but someone like his character doesn’t know how to love completely. Off with his head!!
