The Genoa City newcomer is impressed, thankful and “touched” by Adam’s sensitivity. He could give the young man a reward, but it might rub Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) the wrong way.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Lung Cancer Diagnosis

Y&R spoilers reveal that Ashland confided in Victoria that he went to see a medical specialist. He claimed to have lung cancer that leaves him with only six months to live. Ashland asked Victoria not to tell anyone, then he turned around and announced it to Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). We assume that one of them told Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Summer Newman (Hunter King) was probably informed, which means Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) knows and the cycle goes on and on.

Someone leaked Ashland’s diagnosis to a tabloid. He is demanding to know who, but we have a sneaking suspicion that it was Ashland himself. We’re not sure what he is up to with this cancer diagnosis and merger with Victoria. He’s cooking an elaborate scheme, though.

Genoa City is talking about Ashland’s diagnosis. Some believe he is sick as who would lie about something so serious. Others think he is too healthy and energetic to be dying. Of course, Ashland will suddenly have a symptom and a health emergency around the same time that people are buzzing about the cancer diagnosis being fake news. Ashland starts coughing and can’t seem to stop. Then, it becomes clear that Ashland is struggling to breathe. The person who jumps into action and saves Ashland’s life is Adam.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Ashland is overwhelmed with Adam’s heroism. It’s not really the fact that he saved Ashland, but the gentle and sensitive way he took care of him during the coughing attack. Burgi explained to Soap Opera Digest,

“It’s a very vulnerable moment for Ashland. But he’s really taken by Adam’s sensitivity and how he tunes into this very delicate and awkward moment, which is very appreciated by Ashland.”

Could Ashland be so touched, impressed and grateful that he rewards Adam? It is possible but would it be a genuine “thanks for saving my life” gift or is this just another scheme? Maybe it’s a little bit of both.

Y&R Spoilers – Victor Newman’s Concern

If Ashland is so touched by Adam’s sensitivity and handling of the emergency, he could be generous with his reward. We are thinking that Ashland makes Adam a business offer that’s hard to refuse.

Victoria’s put this plan together in a neat little package. She doesn’t want things to be ruined now. This fear might be compounded when Ashland offers her a way out. As for Victor, he will wonder what kind of game Ashland is playing with Adam. Keep them guessing… that seems to be the name of Ashland’s game. We will have to keep watching to find out what happens next.
