Not only did he tell Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) a tragic childhood story, but Ashland told the same woeful tale to the Newman family. As a “courtesy,” Billy was invited to the family meeting. Everyone seemed to buy Ashland’s story except for two people: Nick and Billy.

As for Victoria, she claims to believe Ashland but it is clear that she has her doubts.

Y&R Spoilers – Ashland Locke’s Real Name

Ashland is being blackmailed by an attorney by the name of Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones). Jesse has come to Genoa City to track down Ashland. If the media mogul wants his secret kept, then he needs to pay the next 10 years all in one lump sum, which amounts to $3 million.

Apparently, Ashland has been paying Jesse to keep quiet for many years. If Ashland first became publicly known back in his 20s, then that is millions and millions that he has paid over the years. However, we will get back to the attorney knowing something in a few minutes.

Ashland’s real name is Bobby Defranco. At least, that is what he was known as before becoming Ashland Locke.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Bobby died in a car accident 40 years ago. If this is the case, then who is buried in Bobby’s coffin? Did Ashland fake his death and steal a dead man’s identity? Is it someone that nobody would miss that is in the coffin? Or is this just another lie? Sometimes people running from something change their name several times before setting on their “final identity.” So, Ashland might really not be Bobby either!

Y&R Spoilers – Victoria Newman’s Concern

Victoria will be concerned that Ashland lied about telling her everything. If a man has one secret, then he has several. We’re sure Ashland will come up with a story that will tug at everyone’s heartstrings.

As for Jesse the attorney, the fact that someone with a law license knows about this gives us a few clues. “Bobby” might have been a fugitive and perhaps Jesse was his lawyer. Jesse could be an attorney with the side business of creating new identities for people. Or, “Bobby” might have been in serious trouble, such as with the mob or gangs. So, Ashland’s reason for this big secret might be sinister and criminal, but it could also be quite innocent. So, we will have to keep watching to see how this story plays out.
